Ambo University successfully hosted its 11th Annual National Research Conference!
====================================
Under the inspiring theme “Building Resilient Systems: Integrating Indigenous Knowledge, Science, and Technology,” this two-day gathering brought together distinguished scholars and researchers from across higher education institutions in Ethiopia.
The conference served as a vibrant platform for presenting research findings, exchanging academic insights, and fostering collaboration. At its core, the discussions highlighted a crucial truth: today’s global challenges—climate change, health crises, economic instability, and social transformation—cannot be addressed by relying on a single knowledge system.
Instead, resilience requires a thoughtful integration of indigenous wisdom—knowledge preserved and refined through generations—with the power of modern science, technology, creativity, and innovation. This holistic approach not only strengthens problem-solving capacity but also ensures that solutions remain culturally grounded, sustainable, and inclusive.
By blending traditional knowledge with contemporary advancements, the conference reaffirmed the importance of honoring heritage while embracing progress. It showcased how indigenous practices, when combined with scientific innovation, can create systems that are stronger, more adaptable, and better equipped to serve communities in times of uncertainty.
Ambo University extends its deepest appreciation to all participants, contributors, and partners whose dedication made this conference a resounding success. Together, we continue to advance knowledge, collaboration, and innovation for a brighter and more resilient future.
