ዓለም አቀፍ የአካባቢ ቀን በየዓመቱ ጁን 5 የሚከበር ዓለም አቀፍ ሁነት ነው። ይህ ቀን ሰዎች ስለ አካባቢ ጥበቃ ያላቸውን ግንዛቤ እንዲያሳድጉ እና በተግባርም አረንጓዴ አካባቢን ለመፍጠር የበኩላቸውን አስተዋጽኦ እንዲያደርጉ የሚያነሳሳ ኩነት ነው፡፡

ቀኑ በሚል መሪ ቃል ዓለም አቀፍ ለውጦችና መፍትሄዎች ላይ ትኩረት አድርጎ ይከበራል።

በአካባቢ ጥበቃ ረገድ ድርጅታችን ቀለም ኢትዮጵያ በርካታ ስራዎችን ሰርቷል፡፡ከነዚህ ስራዎች መካከል የፕላስቲክ ብክለትን በመቀነስ ለወጣቶች የገቢ ማስገኛ እንዲሆን የተቀረፀው ፕሮጀክታችን የሚጠቀስ ነው፡፡ በችግኝ ተከላና ስርጭት እንዲሁም በዛፍ ተከላ የተሳተፍንባቸውንም ለአብነት መጥቀስ ይቻላል፡፡

የስርዓተ ፆታ ክበባት የተማሪዎች የሃሳብ ማንሸራሸሪያና መወያያ መድረኮች ናቸው፡፡
ቀለም ኢትዮጵያ የትምህርት ጥራት ለማስጠበቅ በሚያከናውነው የ “Enhancing Quality Education Project (EQUIP)” ፕሮጀክቱ አማካኝነት 12 ት/ቤቶችን ይደግፋል፡፡ በት/ቤቶቹ የሚገኙትን የስርዓተ ፆታ ክበባትን በስልጠናና በተለያዩ ቁሳቁሶች በመደገፍ ተማሪዎች በየጊዜው እየተገናኙ የጥናት ክህሎትን ስለማዳበርና መሰል ጠቃሚ ውይይቶች እንዲያደርጉ እድል አመቻችቶላቸዋል፡፡ይህም የትምህርት ውጤታቸው እንዲሻል እያገዘ ይገኛል፡፡

የየጎፍ አንደኛና መካከለኛ ደረጃ ት/ቤት ተማሪዎች የዚህ አድል ተጠቃሚ ናቸው፡፡

Gender Clubs Driving Academic Success

Gender clubs provide a safe and supportive space for students to exchange ideas, build confidence, and discuss important issues that affect their education and future.

Through the Enhancing Quality Education Project (EQUIP),Kelem Ethiopia is supporting gender clubs in 12 schools with training and essential materials, creating opportunities for students to regularly meet, learn, and strengthen their study skills.

Students at Yegof Elementary and Middle School are among those benefiting from this initiative, which is helping improve their academic performance and personal development.

የላብራቶሪ ትምህርቶች በተግባራዊ ሙከራ ሲታገዙ ተማሪዎች በቲዎሪ የተማሩትን በሚገባ ለማወቅ ያግዛቸዋል፡፡የገርባ ት/ቤት ተማሪዎች ደግሞ ይህን እድል አግኝተዋል፡፡

ቀለም ኢትዮጵያ ለትምህርት ቤታቸው የላብራቶሪ ኬሚካሎችና ቁሶች ድጋፍ ካደረገላቸው በኋላ የላብራቶሪ ትምህርቶችን መረዳት ቀላል ሆኖላቸዋል፡፡

ተማሪ ሃያትና ተማሪ ኡስማን በላብራቶሪ ክፍለ ጊዜያቸው የኬሚካል አይነቶችን፤ባህርያትና መልካቸውን ማየት ችለዋል፡፡ ሲቀላቀሉ የሚሰጡትን ውጤት ማየትም ያስደስታቸዋል፡፡ይህም የላብራቶሪ ክፍለ ጊዜያቸውን እንዲወዱት አድርጓቸዋል፡፡

Learning beyond the Classroom

Practical experiments make science more exciting, understandable, and memorable for students.
Thanks to the laboratory chemicals and materials provided by Kelem Ethiopia, students at Gerba School are now gaining hands-on learning experiences that strengthen their understanding of classroom lessons.

During their laboratory session, students Hayat and Usman explored different types of chemicals, observed their nature, and witnessed the fascinating results of mixing them together.

This opportunity is helping students turn theory into real-life learning while inspiring curiosity and confidence in science.

🌱💧 በአገር ጮሬ ቀበሌ የመስኖ ፓምፖችና የችግኝ ድጋፍ በአርሶ አደር ሕይወት ለውጥ እያመጣ ነው::

በተሁለደሬ ወረዳ አገር ጮሬ ቀበሌ የሚኖሩ ገበሬዎች በቀለም ኢትዮጵያ በተደረገላቸው የመስኖ ፓምፕና የችግኝ ድጋፍ ኑሯቸውን በእጅጉ ማሻሻል ችለዋል።

አርሶ አደር ሙስጠፋ አወል እንደገለጹት፣ ከዚህ በፊት እርሻቸው ሙሉ በሙሉ በዝናብ ላይ የተመሰረተ በመሆኑ በዓመት አንድ ጊዜ ብቻ ያመርቱ ነበር። የውሃ ፓምፕ ካገኙ በኋላ ግን በዓመት ቢያንስ ሶስት ጊዜ ማምረት ችለዋል፤ ሰላጣ፣ ድንች እና ስንዴን በክላስተር እርሻ ስርዓት በተሳካ ሁኔታ እያመረቱ ይገኛሉ።

ይህ ለውጥ የቤተሰቦቻቸውን የምግብ ዋስትና እና ገቢ በእጅጉ አሻሽሏል። ከዚህ ድጋፍ በኋላ የኑሯቸው ሁኔታ መሻሻሉን ገልፀዋል።

የቀበሌው ሰብል ልማት ባለሙያና አቶ መሐመድ አሊ በበኩላቸው፣ በቀለም ኢትዮጵያ ድጋፍ 6 የውሃ ፓምፖች ተሰራጭተው በቀጥታ 30 ገበሬዎች ተጠቃሚ እንደሆኑ ገልጸዋል። ፓምፖቹ ከአካባቢው ወንዞችና ግድቦች ውሃ በመሳብ ዓመቱን ሙሉ መስኖ እንዲያካሂዱ አስችለዋቸዋል።

በተጨማሪም 1,000 የሎሚ ችግኞች እና 3,000 የቡና ችግኞች ለገበሬዎች ተሰራጭተዋል። ችግኞቹ በጥሩ ሁኔታ እያደጉ ሲሆን በሚቀጥሉት ጥቂት ዓመታት ገቢ ማስገኘት ይጀምራሉ ተብሎ ይጠበቃል።

ይህ ተነሳሽነት የግብርና ምርታማነትን በማሳደግ፣ የምግብ ዋስትናን በማጠናከር እና ዘላቂ የኑሮ ምንጮችን በመፍጠር ለማህበረሰቡ ጠቃሚ ለውጥ እያመጣ ነው።

🌱💧 Small-Scale Irrigation and Seedling Support Transforming Farmers’ Lives in Ager Chore

Farmers in Ager Chore Kebele, Tewhulderie Woreda, are experiencing remarkable improvements in their livelihoods through support provided by Kelem Ethiopia.

Mustafa Awel, a farmer with three hectares of land, shared how access to a water pump has transformed agricultural production. Before receiving the pump, farming depended entirely on seasonal rainfall, allowing only one harvest per year.

Today, farmers are able to produce crops at least three times annually, growing vegetables such as lettuce and potatoes while also participating in cluster wheat production.

The increased production has improved household income, food security, and overall living conditions. Mustafa explained that he has been able to build assets and improve his family's livelihood as a result of the intervention.

Mohammed Ali, Kebele Chairman and Crop Development Expert, highlighted the broader impact of the project.

Through Kelem Ethiopia’s support, six water pumps have been provided, directly benefiting around 30 farmers.

The pumps enable farmers to draw water from nearby rivers and dams, ensuring reliable irrigation throughout the year.

In addition to irrigation support, the project has distributed 1,000 lemon seedlings and 3,000 coffee seedlings to local farmers.
The seedlings are growing well and are expected to begin generating income within the next few years.

The initiative is helping farmers increase agricultural productivity, strengthen food security, and create sustainable livelihood opportunities.

Community leaders and farmers alike expressed their appreciation to Kelem Ethiopia for its continued commitment to improving rural livelihoods and building resilience.
