Intel ISEF Ethiopia is an affiliation of Intel ISEF the world’s largest international pre-college science competition, providing an annual forum for more than 1,700 high school students from over 70 countries, regions, and territories to showcase their independent research and compete for about $5 million in awards in 17 categories. Beginning in September 2014, research based science projects by y

oung students across 17 subject categories will be reviewed by an eminent jury compromising of scientists and domain experts, and the short-listed entries will be showcased at the annual YES Fair Ethiopia. This fair aims to promote and nurture science and scientific research among young Ethiopian innovators; recognizing and rewarding outstanding projects, and providing a platform for winning students to represent Ethiopia at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF) competing against more than 6 million high school students from across the world. Winners at the Intel ISEF not only win laurels for their nation but also get the opportunity to meet with other like minded youths from the world over. YES Fair Ethiopia would like to reach out to more students and get wider participation of school level science fairs to emerge as the largest research based science, math and engineering fair in the country.
