Greetings!
As you know, the activities of the Ethiopian Political Science and International Relations Professional Association/EPSIRPA has been stalled mainly because of issues related to renewing the certificate of registration of the Association. Committee members have over the last months made vigorous effort to secure the renewal of the certificate/ the "license". We are glad to inform you that we have been able to get this done now and are working on resuming the activities of the Association. Committee members now actively work to put the stalled activities back on track and encourage graduates in the field to join the Association. The Association is now functional and we are planning to hold the annual meeting of the Association towards the end of the coming month of December 2018.
Let us also encourage more and more graduates in the field to join the Association. Committee members are hopeful that we can do more carrying forward the activities of the Association this year!

We are writing you after a while.Hope this email finds you all well.EPSIRPA has been around for sometimes now!It took us time to come back to you all.We have also been doing some required works since the start of the year, that took us time.
The Committee, with taskforce members have been actively working lately towards achieving this years' planned activities. The association's major event- the launching workshop is scheduled to take place at the beginning of this coming June. We hope to make the association's first publication-a magazine ready for the workshop.
We will keep all of you informed of the specific date, schedule and venue etc.
We expect all of you to be present for the workshop

EURAC FEDERAL SCHOLAR IN RESIDENCE PROGRAM 2016
Call for Applications Now Open
Apply by 01 July 2015 to win a three week research stay at an interdisciplinary research center in South Tyrol, Northern Italy.
Hand in a paper on comparative federalism, regionalism or intergovernmental relations in either English, German, Italian, French or Spanish.
The Institute for Studies on Federalism and Regionalism of the European Academy of Bolzano/Bozen (EURAC) invites applications to become the next EURAC FEDERAL SCHOLAR IN RESIDENCE. If you work in a field related to comparative federalism, regionalism or intergovernmental relations and have an interest in multi-level governance and government enter the competition to present and discuss your research with international scholars and experts at EURAC during an up to three weeks research stay in Bolzano/Bozen at the Institute.
Send in:
§ an unpublished, full-fledged paper or manuscript in English, German, Italian, French or Spanish;
§ an abstract in English
§ a short CV including the declaration 'I authorize EURAC to use my personal data in accordance to decree 196/2003'
§ a letter of motivation (max. 2 pages)
Winning the competition means the opportunity of a research stay of up to three weeks, including travel costs, among experts in comparative federalism and regionalism, preferably in early February in the international environment of EURACs Winter School on Federalism and Governance. Becoming EURACs Federal Scholar in Residence also means the possibility of publishing your research in EURACs online series EDAP and elaborating new project ideas.

Call for Papers
The Somaliland Journal of African Studies (SJAS) seeks to shed light onto the political landscape of Africa – material, immaterial, and otherwise. It looks to publish original academic research into political regimes, modes of government, configurations of extraction and production, political imaginaries, and the sociocultural inflections of these phenomena. Submissions are accepted, hence, from a broad spectrum of disciplines, spanning from philosophy, history, political science, and international relations, to sociology and anthropology.
The Editorial Board of the SJAS is now receiving articles for its second issue due for publication on May 2015.
Guidelines for authors:
Submissions should be made exclusively to SJAS
‘English is the working language of the journal. As such, the Editorial
Board will only consider articles fully written in English;
Articles should not exceed 7000 words, including footnotes, images
and references. Book reviews should not exceed 2500 words;
Every article should contain an abstract of 250 words maximum and 5
keywords;
Articles should be sent in Microsoft Word (or equivalent) format;
SJAS follows the 16th edition of the Chicago Manual of Style. All
submissions must follow the same style.
Authors are required to send their submissions together with an abstract (up to 300 words), five keywords and a short, third-person biography (up to 100 words) to the journal’s e-mail address at: [email protected].
The deadline is set to April 20th.
