The food assistance from WFP may delay while this is urgent.
Are there no cattle or goats in the village ? To be taken to the town and sell them out to buy for grain (food).
The problem of village people is, they love cattle more than themselves.
The poverty will be affected our community more if they are still focus on WFP assistance.

RESCUE KIECHKUON PAYAM BEFORE ITS TOO LATE:

Kiechkuon Payam are calling for rescue and helps from County, state, and national governments as well as international organizations due to food insecurity which affects the entire population in the community.

“Do it for others what you only want others do for you. Be merciful to others because your God is merciful to you “. Scripture tells us.

Kiechkuon disaster (Food insecurity)
This message goes to county, state and national governments as well as international organizations who are working to ensure vulnerable communities are being protected and have access to food security and health services.
The Food insecurity means the absence of adequate food at household levels that is what has occurred in Kiechkuon currently as you see from the pictures and videos shared. However, Kiechkuon people are desperate for searching of food that why they fleeing or migrating from their dwellings areas to other parts of the county nearby villages (Diet, koor and many more but they were returned by the chiefs due to ongoing war around these places) whereby they can find a food for surviving of the children, elderly and disabled people.

Due to inadequate food in the community people are currently suffering, starving and dying of hunger then they engage to bit around the bushes searching for (lalop), tree leaves and other fruits but none of the trees yielding due yo long lasting floods annually.

Moreover, Kiechkuon expressed their concerns and complaints that since last year many people they had not received rations from WFP implemented by World Vision.
Therefore, we are calling the international NGOs for help in order to put Kiechkuon Payam on the priority for food distribution in this new year of 2025. Because we observe the ration is only distributed along the river corridor but we don’t know that people from the inlands such as Kiechkuon, Kierwan, Gairieng, Roam and Dichin are the most affected people by food shortages, flooding and others disasters in the country.

All in all, The community demands food assistance on timely manner because people are starving, suffering and dying of hunger. These pictures are indicators of what’s happening in Kiechkuon currently as people migrated due to food shortages.
