This week we celebrated the vernal equinox. At the equinox the sun's rays strike perpendicular to the equator and cause day and night to be the same length.

Let's take this moment as an opportunity to work on our balance between body, mind and spirit; just as night and day do.

Welcome spring! 🌸🌺🌼

We investigated the animals that hibernate during the winter and there are many more species of animals than we thought! snakes, bats, bees.... We discovered that besides mammals, reptiles and insects also hibernate.

But... Do you know which is the most known hibernating animal? 🐻

8 de marzo "Dia internacional de la Mujer" 💜

Cuando llegamos al periodo sensible del lenguaje nos invade un espontáneo y natural interés por la lectoescritura. Esto nos vincula con nuestro entorno y nos permite comunicar y expresar ideas, sentimientos, inquietudes... 📝💭

👂Comenzamos desarrollando la conciencia fonológica la cual nos ayuda a distinguir los sonidos. Todo esto a través de juegos de sonidos como el "veo, veo" y las rimas.

👐 Continuamos manipulando materiales como las letras de lija y la bandeja de arena. Nos ayudan a adquirir un conocimiento sensorial de los sonidos del alfabeto y la grafomotricidad.

👀 Posteriormente el alfabeto móvil junto con las series Montessori nos ayudan a trabajar la correspondencia grafia-fonema.

✍️ Finalmente, damos lugar a la parte manuscrita y escribimos en pizarras y papel.

One of the pillars of Montessori pedagogy is to educate for peace. Maria Montessori believed that two things were necessary for this: the awareness that everything is interconnected and gratitude.

The Great Lessons are the basis of cosmic education. Thanks to them children can learn:

🌀 To develop a knowledge of nature and its laws, awakening interest in history, geography, mathematics, science and language.

🌀 To feel gratitude towards previous generations who have done a work that allows us to be here today and benefit from that evolution.

🌀 To discover all the elements and forces of nature, understanding that even the smallest particle is part of a whole.

🌀 A sense of responsibility, importance and purpose of their own existence, as they discover their own place in this world.

Cuidado de las plantas 🌱

A través de la botánica respetamos y cuidamos el medio ambiente, fortalecemos el vínculo con él y desarrollamos un sentido de responsabilidad hacia él.

❇️Tratamos las plantas con amor y delicadeza.

❇️Limpiamos las hojas para que puedan inspirar mejor el dióxido de carbono y expulsar el oxígeno.

❇️ De una manera sensorial, a través de los puzzles, descubrimos las diferentes partes de la planta.

❇️ Aprendemos la nomenclatura de las plantas.

Welcome to the solstice!! Winter has arrived!!
Every year on December 21st we celebrate the winter solstice. It marks the point when one hemisphere of the Earth is tilted furthest from the sun, resulting in the shortest day of the year with the fewest hours of sunlight.

On this solstice day nothing like a hot cup of chocolate on a chilly winter night.❄️🧣☕️
