Eloi Fuguet Surroca

Eloi Fuguet studied recorder at the Barcelona Municipal Conservatory and the Amsterdam Conservatory. He has played with early music ensembles all over Catalonia and Europe and is the founding member of the En Bloc Quartet and Windu, as well as playing in the Renaissance ensemble Fortuna d’un Gran Tempo. He was also the music programmer of the Eduard Toldrà Auditorium, the European museum of Modern

Art, is co-founder of the independent label of classical music Beltempo Records and general manager of the Catalan Association of Classical Music Performers (ACIMC). He is currently the recorder teacher at the ECMM Vilanova i la Geltrú, at the San Francisco International Orff Course and conductor of consort Pere Serra, Recorder Orchestra of Catalonia.

Ten years ago, I had the immense privilege of performing Marco Uccellini’s variations on the *Bergamasca* alongside Annette Bauer and the incredible faculty of the San Francisco International Orff Course.

Looking back at this video a decade later fills me with deep gratitude. What started as learning alongside extraordinary musicians and teachers evolved into sharing the journey with cherished colleagues and lifelong friends. Thank you to everyone who made—and continues to make—this path so deeply inspiring.

Ara fa deu anys, vaig tenir l'immens privilegi d'interpretar les variacions sobre la *Bergamasca* de Marco Uccellini juntament amb l'Annette Bauer i la resta del claustre del San Francisco International Orff Course.

Revisitar aquest vídeo una dècada després em s'omple de profunda gratitud. Allò que va començar aprenent al costat de músics i mestres extraordinaris s'ha transformat, amb els anys, en el plaer de compartir camí amb grans companys i amics. Gràcies de tot cor a cadascú de vosaltres per fer d'aquest viatge una font d'inspiració constant.

At the Level 3 sharing during this year’s San Francisco International Orff Course, our recorder students brought a modern Mediterranean classic to life: *Batiscafo Katiuscas*, by the iconic Balearic pop band Antònia Font.

It was an absolute joy to translate its playful universe, surreal charm, and bright melodic lines into the recorder ensemble, blending pop sensibilities with a fresh, collective energy.

Dins el *sharing* de Level 3 de l'edició d'enguany del San Francisco International Orff Course, l'alumnat de flauta de bec va donar vida a un clàssic del pop mediterrani: *Batiscafo Katiuscas*, de l'emblemàtic grup balear Antònia Font.

Va ser un autèntic plaer traslladar al conjunt de flautes de bec el seu univers de fantasia, el seu encant surrealista i la seva lluminositat melòdica, unint l'essència del pop amb una energia col·lectiva molt fresca.

ENG - At the Level 2 sharing during this year’s San Francisco International Orff Course, our recorder students brought a timeless classic to life: Pase el agoa, an anonymous late 15th-century gem from the famous Cancionero de Palacio.

It was a joy to explore its infectious polyphonic drive, playful rhythm, and Renaissance charm together as an ensemble.
