Antía Rodríguez is a Project Technician at ICSEM (Instituto para el Crecimiento Sostenible de la Empresa) and a member of the FISATUR consortium, contributing to the project’s work on cooperation and TNT development.

“The expedition offered many types of activities. The entrepreneurs take part in open days, B2B meetings, and regional events, which are also important milestones of the project. But also other types of workshops held, for example, with primary and secondary schools.”

María Jesús González | Redeiras Atalaia | Spain

Redeiras Atalaia is a project formed by five women, dedicated to the assembly and repair of fishing nets, a traditional maritime trade that is increasingly at risk of disappearing. In parallel, the group also participates in traditional craft fairs, creating products from recovered and reused materials, thus giving new life to maritime heritage.

🎥 María Jesús’s testimony:
“Eh, the sailing... at first it has been uh... well I didn't know what to expect, but once I got used to the navigation, the situation created a close-knit group, very cohesive, and it offered a very different perspective of the coast, I loved it.”

It was a true pleasure to have María Jesús "Chus" on board during the Trade Navigation Tour, where her enthusiasm, openness and curiosity were truly inspiring.

Serafim Maruco | Oficina do Mar | Portugal

Serafim’s ambition is to create a Maritime Activation Centre for students and tourists, a space where people can see, touch and actively engage with maritime heritage, fostering a deeper connection with the culture of the sea.

🎥 Serafim’s testimony:
"The trip represented to me knowledge. My ambition now is to create a social space where these people from Brittany, Galicia, and Portugal come to show what they are worth, what they do that would be fantastic. This was a project that concluded gloriously.”

It was a true pleasure to have Serafim on board during the Trade Navigation Tour. His vision, commitment and belief in the value of maritime heritage are truly inspiring for all.

Vasco Ferreira | Preservation of Esposende's Maritime Heritage | Portugal

Vasco represents one of the winning projects of the FISATUR incubation programme in Portugal. The project Preservation of Esposende’s Maritime Heritage, developed by the Museu Marítimo de Esposende, is dedicated to safeguarding local maritime heritage through the restoration of abandoned vessels, the construction of traditional replicas and the creation of a miniature fabrication school.

🎥 Vasco’s testimony:
“It has been a very enriching experience, and I have also met very interesting people. It is a pleasure to get to know these people, these lands, and this maritime culture that is united and always with our Atlantic Ocean in common.”

Vasco was a true sailor throughout this adventure, embodying the spirit of the Trade Navigation Tour and the shared commitment to preserving maritime identity and culture.
