Proud of student's mini story:)
The Australian Outback is a very big place. I tried to start the car again, but the engine died. 'That's it', said Jez. 'What do we do now?' That's when we noticed the small sign a few hunded meters down the road. "William's Creek 20km".
So Me and Jez started on our way to William's Creek. After the long walk through the Australian desert, finally we reached William's Creek. It was a small town but there was something creepy about it. We didn't see any people and the houses and windows were full of dust. I had seen this type of architecture before when I had lived near a Mormon village. When we entered the town center Jez shouted "Hello! Is there anybody here?" Then we saw a very old bearded man wearing a black hat. He was staring at us and then he started shouting at us in a language I didn't recognize. Jez said
"Dude, that's old-English. I learned it at Oxford. He says that by coming here we brought on a drought and now they must kill us to sacrifice us to their god." I looked at him in disbelief. "What are you talking about Jez? Maybe you don't understand him correctly? Look at him, he's an old man, what could he do to us?" Suddenly the old man took a pistol out of his cardigan pocket and shot in the air. Instantly, hoards of people appeared from within the buildings and ran onto the street aiming at us with guns, ri**es, machetes and knives.
"Oh my God" I exclaimed, "Quick, let's get outa here!"
We began running away. They were shooting and throwing objects at us. Fortunately, just to our luck we saw a truck coming through the town and we jumped onto the trailer and managed to escape. After having traveled a few kilometers, the truck slowed down. The truck driver took a look into his rear-view mirror. I caught his eye. To my horror, it was the same old man in the black hat from William's Creek.
