I’ve been working remotely since 2017.. it’s already 7 years talking to the screen. Looking back at the WIPM summit captures I realise how uplifting the in-person events could be //without even mentioning the priceless opportunity to meet other inspiring leaders//..
‘How not to go wild while working remotely’ could be my next talk I guess 😅
meanwhile, baking my lessons learned to share some spotlights soon 😉
PS. Dublin is gorgeous! 💜

Crossing a Leader Canyon (PM perspective) 🧗🏼♀️
On you professional path you are naturally moving towards the next role following the common journey:
☑️ Intern PM
☑️ Junior PM / Associate PM
☑️ Project Coordinator
☑️ Project Manager
☑️ Senior PM
And… now what?
If you are looking into the next steps as a leader it is time to grow the new skills and mussels.
This is required in order to cover a wider perspective, to solve the new level of problems, to be able to not only deliver results with your team, but to support other leaders and help them grow and deliver results.
If you wish to develop further it is time to lead other leaders.
So what are the options you might have at this stage of your Project Management career?
↗️ Program Manager / Group Leader
↗️ Portfolio Manager / Director
↗️ Business Manager / VP
Where are you now in your career and where do you wanna go next? 🚀

How are you doing this? 🤔
🚦Strategy gives us the 'What?' and explains the 'Why?' behind it, but when it comes to making things happen, we need to define the 'How?' ⚙️
👩🏽💻 Being able to answer the 'How?'-question is the key to Project Management.
🌟 Dear PMs, DMs, EMs, or whatever title you have [Project Management is much wider than the role description] - THANK YOU for keeping this up! 🚀
Happy International Project Management day! 💫

what’s up with talks highlights?
Here are the most sparkling ones I grabbed today:
⭐️ Felipe Peñacoba, CIO & Mngt Board at Revolut: Why should we trust our money to the bank when they don’t even trust us their pens? [they are always on chains ⛓️]
You should always be abbessed with customer experience. Dealing with money is stressful already, don’t make their lives even harder.
⭐️ Miguel Santos, Founder, CSO at Galileo Financial Technologies: sharing thoughts of his network: when I will be growing the business, I would sleep like a baby - wake up every 2 hours and cry.
⭐️ Sharon G*i, Former Head of Global Accounts at Alibaba: in e-com we are moving towards the Qualityland - the market will guess your needs and will not have a return policy, as it will never fail.
⭐️ Ángel Sáenz de Cenzano, Country Manager of Spain & Portugal at LinkedIn: no matter whether you are an entrepreneur or an employee, built your community. Consistency in content is paramount, as well as quality over quantity.
Which highlight from the above resonate with you the most? 😀

So about the DIP.
I would probably have a video on that as I feel there is more that one post can fit it, but let’s capture a couple of takeaways.
The subtitle says - know when to quit and when to stick (in short).
Sounds provocative, however, believe me or not- the idea behind is … pum - pum..
How to be the best in the world!
And the key to it is
👉🏽PERSISTENCE.
▪️ what is this DIP?
When you are on your journey, no matter whether it is career, sports, business, education, it’s fun at the start.
However, in a while it turns to be pretty hard, you can feel scared, exhausted, unmotivated.. and this curve is the DIP.
Many people quit fast as they cannot bear this load. But if you continue pushing forward, the curve will turn into a slope and will bring you up to the top 👆🏽
Good example from the book - snowboarding 🏂. There are much fewer snowboarders than skiers. Snowboarding is harder. At the start you fall a lot, you do not know how to balance, you feel pain. This is the dip. Many people quit, and few pass it through.
Thus, if you feel you are deep in the dip, chances are you are close to start getting up.
👉🏽Second takeaway is to know what to quit. To be the best you need to be focused and make sure you dedicate your capacity to the right direction.
Not only this, many endeavours can lead nowhere and it’s OK to quit them if they are not bringing you closer to the top and invest your powers into the right direction.
👉🏽Third - when to quit. Some DIPs are too deep. This might be not the right moment for this goal, or you do not have enough resources to persist further. Instead of making a reactive decision to quit when it turned to be super hard, make a deal with yourself from the start. Write down in what circumstances to quit the process so that when you are at the dip you have a clear action plan - to continue or not.
Thoughts? 💭

People pay for pain and fear OR the magic of going down the slope.
After 6-year-break seems like I still remember how to ride 😅
Went to Andorra for my B-day to snowboard and go down from the 2500 meter height (unexpectedly).
The first ride was tough.
1. The height. I live in Valencia, it is 0 above the sea. When we came to the mountains it was 1250 above the sea at the bottom level and 2500 at the top. It took 20 min cable ride to get up there. Ears stuffed up, darkness in the eyes, well hello!
2. Height. 20 min cable ride = hello sea sick 😅
3. Height. To be honest it was scary. Not only for me who was not riding for the last 6 years. After passing the first trace and a couple of falls it was fine. Other people around were carefully sliding the ice spots step by step. People were falling down, losing their skis and gloves.
And the clue is everybody knows they will probably fall, or hurt themselves, or feel a bit scared. But still go up there and pay to experience the above. OR, to at least feel the muscles pain after 😁
Why?
Well.
Views, air, excitement, adrenaline, feeling of belonging.
Do you ride?

Life is the thing that is happening to you in between of achieving your goals.
Results are fleeting. You get it and you do not care of it anymore. Enjoy the process. Enjoy the road to your goals. Enjoy the people you meet and value the people who are WITH you on your journey.
You are creating the CORE memories together in between of the goal events. Take care of those who are with you in every moment, whether it is fun or hard one.
Wish you all create bright and amazing memories with your beloved ones in 2023 and let this year bring us peace and happiness🥰
Happy New Year guys 🍾🎊🎉

This is not me how AI sees it.
Initially saw this trend in my network in males accounts. Looked cool , but decided not to rush.. later a disappointed female tribe started sharing scenarios where women are too sexualised by the AI while all the nice astronaut or warrior styles were not applied if you selected to be a female.
Tried it myself, and to me Stereotypes that are built into AI are too exaggerated and focused on gender-specific features instead of human uniqueness.
I do not that thick lips, or smooth cheekbones, and my eyes are definitely not blue - as if pulled on a mask of beauty standards.
To me, if we were not selecting a gender, but choosing, for instance, jobs, it would give a way much better experience trying ourselves in different roles rather that trying ducky lips on ..
What do you think?

If I have SEVERAL projects in my portfolio, am I a PM or a PgM?
To begin with, let’s clarify who is a PM and who is a PgM.
🔹 PM = Project Manager
🔹PgM = Program Manager
Now, what’s the difference between a Project and a Program?
🔷 Project = individual deliverable
🔷 Program = interconnected deliverables
But what’s the difference between the roles?
