EU agrees on minimum requirements for water reuse in agriculture. The provisional agreement must now be formally approved by the European Parliament and the Council of the EU. After approval, the Regulation will be published in the Official Journal of the EU and will enter into force 20 days later.

Today has taken place in the facilities of DOW Tarragona, the ceremony of the 7th edition of the "DOW Sustainability Award", an initiative undertaken by DOW Chemical Ibérica and the School of Chemical Engineering (ETSEQ), aimed at students of the Master in Environmental Engineering and Sustainable Energy (MEESE). The winning team has presented a summary of the awarded project in front of several representatives of DOW company and the URV. We deeply thank DOW for the organization of the event and their continued collaboration with the master. Congratulations, Hammam, Francesc, Ajay, David and Jordi!!

Some days ago the students of the master visited Ecoparc2, a municipal Solid Waste Treatment Plant located close to Barcelona, with a capacity to treat 160.000 t/y of Mixed Waste (grey container), 100.000 t/y of organic waste (brown container) and 27.000 of packging Waste (yellow container). It was a very interesting visit within the subject "Waste Management and Valorization"
