We are delighted to celebrate BA (Hons) Musical Theatre alumni Júlia Conangla ( Júlia Conangla ) who is gearing up to perform in the original production, JANA El Musical (JANA, El Nou Musical de WeColorMusic).

This powerful new musical explores vital themes such as mental health, disability, and the immense pressure to fit into society’s definition of success. It asks the poignant question: “Who are you when the world stops knowing how to look at you?” Júlia brings her incredible talent to the stage for this essential piece of theatre.
It is an absolute joy to see our alumni thriving in such meaningful productions.

TOO MUCH explores the disconnection between body and mind in a fast-paced, overstimulated world. Through an intense physical language, the piece reveals how the nervous system continuously sends signals of distress while the mind keeps pushing forward, ignoring the body’s warnings. As tension accumulates, the body reaches a point of internal collapse, where exhaustion transforms into anger and awareness emerges. It reflects on the consequences of living in constant acceleration, questioning how far we can go before losing ourselves and what happens when the body can no longer be silenced

Anatomy of a Suic* de is a play that explores intergenerational trauma and depression across three generations of women: Carol (mother), Anna (daughter), and Bonnie (granddaughter).

9 to 5 - Trailer - DOLLY & PARTON CAST

Based on the 1980 film, 9 To 5 The Musical was performed from 20-23 May by the BA (Hons) Musical Theatre L5 students. Featuring music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and a book by Patricia Resnick, the piece offers a look at female solidarity and revenge in a late 1970s corporate office.

The narrative explores the experiences of three female co-workers who concoct a plan to overthrow their sexist supervisor, incorporating comedic elements alongside themes of workplace empowerment.

This production was directed and choreographed by Rob Foley , with musical direction by Andy Manning.

Technical and stage management team:
Light designer Joel Perroy, stage manager Jody Rafferty , and assistant stage manager Beatriz Junqueiro.
