Today, the project took part in the Research Fair of Facultad de Geografía e Historia during the Universidad de Sevilla Open Day. Raúl and Bea were explaining the work carried out by the project and presenting the latest advances in our research.

We are pleased to announce the VIII Seminario Hispalense de Egiptología titled "State and estates: formal and informal powers in Old Kingdom Egypt". The seminar has been organized within the framework of the project funded by the "Plan Propio" of the University of Seville, Project VIIPPIT-2023-II.5 “Patronazgo y culto funerario en el ámbito provincial en el Reino Antiguo Egipcio”, directed by Dr. Sánchez Casado.

The seminar will bring together leading specialists on the Egyptian Old Kingdom at the University of Seville, who over the course of two days will discuss the interrelation between state and the estates and their impact on Old Kingdom society.

The seminar will be held in a hybrid format, with free in-person attendance until full capacity is reached, and online participation. To attend online, it is necessary to register by scanning the QR code on the poster.
