Arte y Misericordia at the Museo de Bellas Artes de Sevilla 🎨

At Language for Life, we had the wonderful opportunity to explore the Museo de Bellas Artes de Sevilla through a guided visit that brought history, art, and culture to life.
This special exposition, “Arte y Misericordia”, invited us to reflect on compassion and humanity through the beauty of sacred art — an inspiring experience that helped us connect language learning with the rich artistic heritage of Seville.

Sevilla, la cuna de Antonio Machado
Last week our Language for Life students walked through the verses and memories of one of Spain’s greatest poets — Antonio Machado.
In his hometown, Sevilla, we discovered his life, his words, and even his handwritten poems — a truly exciting experience!

🌟 Seville in the spotlight! 🌟
Thanks to a new ranking by UK paper The Telegraph, our beloved city Sevilla has just been named the third-best city in the world!

The ranking didn’t just look at stats, it focused on feeling, memories and emotional impact.
Seville stood out for its fragrant orange-trees, the timeless beauty of the Royal Alcázar of Seville gardens, the delicious tapas culture, whitewashed alleys and the warm glow of the Andalusian sun.

It’s officially confirmed: our city isn’t just great, it’s a global destination with soul. 🎉

Our latest overnight trip was to Extremadura. There, we visited the well-preserved and spectacular old towns of Cáceres and Trujillo. We enjoyed the gastronomy of the region: moraga, ensalada de zarangollo, and the famous migas, among other dishes. To top it all off, we discovered the Helga de Alvear Museum of Contemporary Art, which houses more than 3,000 works.

We spent a lovely day in Carmona yesterday. It’s a town about 30 km from Seville, with a spectacular historical heritage that includes a Roman necropolis, a medieval alcazar, and many other amazing places. They say it’s “the little Seville”… it even stands in for Seville in several international films!
