🌟 A year full of learning, creativity and English! 🌟

We look back on a school year packed with special moments: from our everyday activities and games through our Marshmallow Challenge, where we put teamwork, creativity and problem-solving into practice, all the way to our Emotions activity, where we learnt to identify, express and manage our emotions in English. 💭🧠💛

And we didn’t stop in June! During July, we continued our courses, including CAE exam prep course, getting our students ready for their next challenge. 📚🎓💪🏼

A year full of experiences, new knowledge and, above all, lots of English! 💫

🍡Our most special challenge of the year! 🤯

The Marshmallow Challenge has definitely been one of the most special and memorable activities of this school year. What makes it even more special is that it can be enjoyed by both our youngest and oldest students!

Activities like this allow us to go beyond learning English as a language. They give students the opportunity to communicate, collaborate, be creative, solve problems and learn by doing, all while using English in a meaningful context. 💡

For us, seeing how much they enjoy these experiences is also a reminder of why we keep looking for new tools, resources and ways of learning that adapt to our students and make their English learning experience more engaging and meaningful. 🤍

🇪🇺 European Day 🇪🇺
🌍 9th May 🌏

Last week we explored different European countries through general knowledge and fun facts! 🌍✨

We talked about:
• customs and traditions
• typical food, celebrations and cultural habits
• interesting facts about each country
• national stereotypes… and how to challenge and break them 💭

Through discussion and debate, the students shared opinions, discovered new perspectives and learned that every culture is much more than a stereotype. 💙

This Sant Jordi, we gave the legend a British twist 🇬🇧🐉📚

What if we had the power to change the story? What if the dragon was friendly, the princess was brave, or Sant Jordi needed saving?

Through this activity, the children used their imagination and creativity to invent alternative endings to a classic tale. But it didn’t stop there… they also practised their English by reading their own stories aloud, building confidence, comprehension and fluency in a meaningful and fun way. 🗣️

Because when children create their own stories, reading becomes even more special ✨

At Mediterrània, we love celebrating traditions, special moments, and meaningful festivities like this one ❤️

St George’s Day is celebrated in England in honour of Saint George, the patron saint of England 🇬🇧✨

And here in Catalonia, we also celebrate this special day with books, roses and beautiful traditions 🌹📖

At the academy, we love turning these celebrations into fun and immersive learning experiences for all ages 💫

Through shared reading moments, English books and dynamic hands-on activities, we bring language learning into real life while discovering culture and traditions together 🤍
