On the 5th day, Friday, May 1, 2026, although it is Labor Day, with a slightly shorter agenda than other days, the teachers met to get acquainted with the evaluation of all activities, listen to the sounds of nature that they collected during these days during their stay in Metković and during the organized activities at the Neretva Estuary and the boat ride along the Norin River to the town of Momići. It was interesting to listen to the relaxing sounds that the teachers and educators experienced in their Neretva homeland.
An evaluation that all participants need to complete was also presented.

At the end of today's gathering, certificates of participation were awarded, beautiful photos were shared, memories were made, and thanks were given to each other for the gift of togetherness.
We shared a piece of cake that had the project logo and the Stjepan Radić Elementary School logo on it, and with this activity, Learning Teaching Training Croatia was completed.
It was an unforgettable first experience of an organization of this kind, led by teacher Marijana Curić for the Stjepan Radić Elementary School.
"We wish our dear guests from Spain, Turkey, Malta, and North Macedonia a happy and safe return to their homes and families, and we hope that their visit to Metković, our valley, and county will remain a fond memory."

The fourth day, Thursday 30.4. In 2026, began with a presentation of the Nature Littles Festival by the Turkish team from the Konya elementary school. Presenter Sabrye Kaya presented the ways, possibilities, and places of activities where, when, and how the festival could be organized. The teachers agreed that it would be in June at different times and that the other participants, together with the students, would be observers in the online organized sections.
After a short break, the teachers set off by organized transport to Dubrovnik, where they had an arranged workshop on plastic recycling and sunglasses making - they could see the entire manufacturing process in a small factory called Maritimo Recycling.
Upon completion, in the Old Town after a joint lunch at the Bura restaurant, the teachers were received at a reception at the County Center in Dubrovnik, where they were welcomed by the Head of the Administrative Department for County Prefect and County Assembly Affairs, Žaklina Marević.
The City of Dubrovnik gifted the teachers and educators of this Erasmus + project a free visit to the Dubrovnik city walls, which allowed them to truly experience the beauty of this city.
In the evening, the teachers returned to Metković and spent another beautiful day together, learning.

The third day of mobility began with a presentation on how to work with a digital album, presented by university professor Salih Saglam from Selçuk University in Konya, Turkey, after which teachers from North Macedonia, representing the "Nikola Kljusev" Foundation, presented the possibilities of promoting the digital album in order to increase its visibility as much as possible.
This was followed by visits to the classes of English teacher Martina Tomić, educator working in the Special Department for Students with Disabilities Jelena Šalinović, and art teacher Ante Leko.
The mobility program continued at the Archaeological Museum of Narona, where the museum's senior curator, Konstanta Bukovac, held a workshop on Latin Epigraphy, through which teachers were introduced to the ancient way of writing using papyrus and ink. The aim of this workshop was to familiarize participants with the basics of Latin epigraphy, inscriptions on various solid materials, and their significance for researching the Roman period. In the practical part of the workshop, participants used a Roman stylus and ink to transcribe onto papyrus an inscription found in Vid near Metković, ancient Narona, in Roman capitals and cursive script.
The day ended with a boat ride along the Norin River from Vid to Momići, accompanied by singing and a shared lunch at the Lopoč restaurant.

The 2nd day of the LTT program began with bird watching using telescopes and binoculars, listening to the sounds of nature. Ecologist Iva Rajković Alendar taught us about the birds that live in the protected area of nature at the Neretva Estuary, about their appearance and vocalizations.

This was followed by a Green Classroom lesson with the 2nd grade, held by teacher Marijana Curić. The students were divided into five teams at the Neretva Estuary, exploring the nature around them according to the tasks in cooperation with their parents, after which they presented their work to the teachers and parents. They happily explored and collaborated on the sandy beach, even wading a little into the sea.

Upon returning to the school hall, university professors from Turkey, in cooperation with a team from a Spanish elementary school, taught us about the possibilities of using Podcasts in teaching. The Spanish team connected the sounds of music and other sounds with the impact on emotions and their expression. With the presentation of the teams' results, it was possible to see that the same sounds do not affect everyone the same way and that they have different effects.

After the educational part in the assembly hall, the teachers attended lessons with teachers Kata Jelačić, Tatjana Juračić Hazirović, and Vesna Pavlović, who prepared their lessons in accordance with the project theme.

The day ended successfully in a positive atmosphere at a joint lunch.

We welcomed teachers and educators in Metković as part of our project, in a cheerful, joyful atmosphere contributed by our student-members of the mandolin orchestra, students who danced traditional dances and performed games, and other students and teachers.

First day at the school in Metković! We were welcomed with traditional music and dance, followed by welcome activities, working meetings, task sharing, and a visit to the classrooms.

Before taking a walking tour around the city, we planted an olive tree in the school garden as a symbol of the unity of all the institutions involved in the project. Later, we were officially welcomed by a city councilor at the Town Hall.

A wonderful start to this inspiring Erasmus+ experience! 🌍✨

In Malta, Carnival has a rich history of colourful parades, elaborate costumes, and imaginative floats that roll through towns and villages every year. From Nadur’s famous street celebrations to vibrant displays in Floriana and Valletta, floats are an iconic part of Maltese Carnival. Carnival floats are traditionally made with bright decorations, themes, and characters that delight young and old alike. 🥳🇲🇹

This year, students in Ms Nadine’s class in St Francis Primary School Cospicua Malta, explored this tradition while also learning about sustainability. Using recycled and upcycled household materials, they designed their own miniature Carnival floats:

🔹 Shoe boxes became the base and backdrop of each float.
🔹 Toilet paper rolls were reused as pedestals to elevate favourite characters like Spider-Man, Batman, Barbie, and more.
🔹 Tissue/crepe paper, pom-poms, and glitter stars added colour and texture — all chosen with sustainability in mind.

By reimagining recycled materials as art, students connected with the joyful Maltese Carnival tradition while discovering how creative expression and environmental awareness can go hand in hand. 🌍♻️

They had so much fun designing their floats during Carnival week, all of the colourful creations were displayed in their classroom for everyone to enjoy!

For their upcoming talent show, students from Ms Karen’s class in Year 3 St Francis Primary School Cospicua Malta, created animal masks using recycled cardboard and cereal boxes. By doing so, they gave new life to everyday materials and will transformed them into imaginative and creative costumes.

Through this activity, apart from giving new life to everyday materials, students explored creativity and strengthened their awareness of sustainability, while also developing their artistic abilities and fine motor skills.

Let’s continue to promote sustainability and the responsible use of resources in our everyday lives. ♻️
