Our Infant Community welcomes children from 18 months to 3 years old.

At this stage, children are developing rapidly as they begin to explore their environment, build confidence and do more for themselves. The carefully prepared Montessori classroom gives them the freedom to move, choose activities and take part in simple everyday routines within a calm, safe and caring environment.

Through these experiences, children begin developing independence, coordination, concentration and confidence at their own pace.

Why does making orange juice matter in Montessori? 🍊

In the Practical Life area, everyday activities become opportunities for meaningful learning.

Preparing fresh orange juice may look simple, but the child is following a sequence, using real tools, coordinating their movements and completing a task independently from beginning to end.

Through this kind of purposeful work, children develop concentration, coordination, confidence and a growing sense of responsibility.

The aim is not simply to teach a child how to make juice. It is to create an environment where they can think, practise and do things for themselves.

This is a fundamental part of the Montessori approach: “Help me to do it by myself.”
