Mini Movers encourages children to use their senses through singing, playing simple games and doing exercises in time to the rhythm of songs. Classes promote:

Classes are open to children who are confident walkers up to 5 years old (older and younger siblings are welcome to join in). Movement and exercises are adapted depending on the age, confidence and ability of each child. Classes are entirely child led, meaning that classes are not rushed and children only join in with what they want to participate in. Classes combine fun movements and singing of songs and nursery rhymes – classes are quite active so it’s advisable to wear comfortable loose clothing as you will need to change position and move around the room. Favourite songs include Wheels on the Bus, Ring O Roses, Di**le Dangle Scarecrow, Along with activities including parachute games, ribbons, hoops and bubbles. Each Class has 4 Stages:
Warm up – starting in a circle then introducing some simple movements to songs. Active Exercises – parents and children will move around the room, bending, bouncing, and jumping with higher tempo songs...believe me... this provides as much of a workout for the parents as well as the child! Activities include parachute and balls, pom poms, ribbons wands, hula hoops and more. Floor exercises and percussion – you will be ready at this point to sit back down! Percussion instruments are introduced and used with well known nursery rhymes such as Horsey Horsey and Grand Old Duke of York. Relaxation – To start winding down, children will play a game of hide and seek, having to find pictures around the room and bringing them to Disco Daisy in exchange for a sticker. A softer slower tempo song is used whilst bubbles are blown and drift around the room for the children to have fun catching, bringing the class to a close. Boogie Babies
An entertaining musical movement class for both babies and parents, promoting positive touch, developmental play and overall – having fun together. Benefits
As you move with your baby, the class provides you both with very gentle and fun workout combined with a good old sing along. Babies love different kinds of movement and respond in different ways. Movement is the way in which the different senses learn to work together to support posture, balance and coordination. Boogie Babies uses well known nursery rhymes and songs along with games to stimulate babies, encouraging them in doing simple exercises in time to the rhythm of the songs. The classes give parents the opportunity to support their infants cognitive, emotional, social, language and physical development. What to expect:
Classes are open to babies from 12 weeks to pre-walking. Movements and exercises are adapted depending on the age, confidence and ability of each child. The exercises are not rushed and only done when baby is alert and receptive. The sessions are baby led, it is not necessary to complete the full sequence in one go, but only do as much as your baby is ready for. Favourite songs include Grand old Duke of York, Jack and Jill, Hot Cross Buns, some songs will change weekly to keep things interesting, but some are repeated week to week to help babies learn to recognise and associate music and movement with enjoyment and fun. Each Class has 4 Stages:
Warm up – sitting on the floor, gently moving baby’s arms and legs to get them ready for the class. Active Exercises – Using safe holding positions you will move around the room, bending, swaying and lifting your highly delighted by together with higher tempo songs this provides as much of a work out for the parent as well as the baby. Floor exercises and percussion – you will be ready at this point to sit down, exercises include baby sitting on your knees, on your tummy, doing bounces all in time to songs. Percussion instruments are used much to babies joy. Relaxation – Softer, gentler songs are used to signal that this is the time to wind down and start to relax. Bubbles are blown and drift around the room engaging baby’s attention, chiffon scarves are floated over babies (much to their amusement) in time to lullabies bringing the class to a close.
