📢 A Landmark Event and Promising Achievements in the Sustainable Tourism Sector! 🌍🌿TOURVET Project
Al-Rawdah University College (RUC)—as a strategic partner in the project consortium comprising Turkey, Portugal, Spain, Tunisia, and Jordan—organized a special event to showcase the achievements and outcomes of the "TOURVET" project, funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ program, in the presence of an elite group of representatives from ministries, universities, and the tourism labor market. 🤝✨
💡 Key Highlights of the Meeting:
🔹 Opening Speeches: The event was opened by the college's project coordinator, Ms. Samar Abu Shamat, with the participation of Dr. Suleiman Al-Kaid (on behalf of college president Dr. Saleh Abdel Hadi), Dr. Zuhal Demer, project coordinator from Akdeniz University in Turkey, and Dr. Amir Khalil, Director of the Erasmus+ Office in Palestine. All speakers emphasized the importance of international cooperation and leadership in vocational and technical education.
🔹 Presentation of Project Outputs & Smart Platform: Project coordinator Ms. Samar Abu Shamat presented the work packages and national reports, in addition to the development of an interactive learning environment via the Moodle platform. This platform includes specialized curricula in: (Chef Training, Tour Guiding, Travel Agency Management, and Sustainable Tourism), alongside the development of educational and training materials and a user guide.
🔹 International Field Activities: Highlighting field visits, cultural and professional exchanges in Portugal and Spain (including the "Carlos Oroza" Training Center) to promote responsible tourism practices and environmental sustainability.
🔹 Interactive Panel Discussion: Expertly moderated by Dr. Dirgham Al-Faris and Dr. Aisha Abed Rabbo under the title "Integration Between Governmental, Academic, and Labor Market Policies Towards Sustainable Tourism," amidst wide engagement from attendees.
🎯 The gathering concluded by emphasizing future steps to ensure the sustainability of these strategic partnerships and to meet the needs of the tourism labor market with utmost efficiency and professionalism
