Swipe for a schedule overview of our 2 Week Foundational Yacht Chef Training
Day 1: everyone checks in at 5pm and we settle into the beautiful villa and meet everyone over a welcome dinner prepared by Cara and Amber
Day 2: Starts off with some table top lessons about chartering, budgeting, food & yacht safety. Then go into Charter Prep workshops in the galley. Prepping everything we would from sauces to pickled veg, potato pave, granolas just like a real charter.
Day 3/4/5: Everyday we teach a breakfast, lunch and dinner workshop so students understand the flow, the time management, the long hours of what’s required on charter.
Cooking the perfect fish, steak and how to accompany it are big takeaways!
We show you how to take your home cooking to restaurant level. Learn how to make French toast like it’s from a boujee cafe in London
These 6:30am starts are so worth it! The student that’s on sourdough each morning gets the earliest start but best sunrise ✨
Our Foundational Training produces some pretty stunning plates !
Steak night is a classic on yachts so it’s important to get aquatinted with it 💯
We also make sure we fit in 2 cocktail workshops as we know the charter guests love this but as a treat for us to celebrate too
Day 6: We take the students to experience local cuisine with tapas and paella 🥘 and a chance to connect over the first weeks lessons and antics!
Day 7: the first group of 5 students moves onto a catamaran yacht for 3 nights to begin practicing their skills in a real environment.
Cooking for ALL 7 OF US, solo, in a smaller space, with only the provisions we bought, in a time restraint, maybe underway ! Plus learning boat skills from our skipper instructor. Ideal practice and the highlight for everyone
Who’s up first on night one 🙈 James making dinner and dessert
While the rest of us take a dip at golden hour
Day 8: More 1:1 practice with the instructor to perfect cooking proteins and delicious accompaniments
Whilst our skipper instructor is tailoring lessons to where each students skill level is at when it’s comes to boating
Day 9: We eat so damn good. Omg.
And so impressed with our fellow cheffies. Look at
