Queen’s Lingua is currently looking to hire experienced English language teachers to work on our evening and weekend programmes. Classes run from 17:30-19:00 (Monday – Friday) and from 09:45 – 13:00 (Saturday).
Our language school focuses on teaching English through immersive, communicative English sessions designed to take place after a long day at school and which are therefore expected to be three-dimensional, engaging, and most importantly fun for our learners. The vast majority of our students are of primary age, whilst we also have some young learners (3-6), as well as a number of secondary age groups, including official exam preparation. We also offer limited adult sessions. Therefore, teachers must be experienced in at least some of these areas and should also be accustomed to working in communicative language teaching environments.
To be considered, candidates must be in possession of a bachelors degree and of a suitable TEFL qualification such as CELTA (or equivalent). Queen’s Lingua welcomes non-native applicants, provided they meet the aforementioned requirements in addition to a mastery of the English language.
Fijo discontinuo contracts are offered at an approximate rate of €25 per hour on a salary system. Classes are added up and divided into 9 equal payments over the course of the academic year (September to June).
In addition, Queen’s Lingua also runs a summer programme that language teachers may wish to be considered for, offering full-time teaching work for 5 weeks from the last week of June until the end of July.
