Year 5 visited Reserva Park in Calvià as part of their Humanities topic on mountains, enjoying a hike through the Serra de Tramuntana near Puig de Galatzó.

They explored caves, admired stunning views, and observed rescued wildlife—made even better by fantastic weather.

Well done to all students for their excellent participation and behaviour! 👏

Exploraron cuevas, disfrutaron de vistas espectaculares y observaron fauna rescatada, con un tiempo inmejorable.

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Green Valley Observer, our brand-new student-run newspaper — created by students, for students.

Led by Leo Schapperer (Year 12) as Editor-in-Chief, the team is now looking to recruit members for the Editorial Board. If you have a passion for writing, reporting, or photography, this is your chance to get involved and have your voice heard!

Exciting news – the student-led cultivation of lifelong reading has arrived at GVS!

We are inviting students and parents from all year groups in Secondary to donate quality second-hand books to our new “Take one, Leave one” Book initiative. We have created a dedicated area to become a hub for discussion and exploration for young readers, helping to foster a love of literature and strengthen our students’ language skills.

We are looking for topical, engaging, and high-quality books – the classics and contemporary titles that made an impression on you when you read them. While we primarily welcome English books, we would also be delighted to receive classic German, Swedish, Spanish, Catalan books, etc.

A special thanks to Lila and Lara (Year 9), who have planned this initiative from its inception to fruition – from sourcing the display cabinet to creating the attached poster. Your efforts are much appreciated!

Students from all year groups can take a book, sign it out, and leave one in return – it’s that simple!

If you can, please drop off 1/2 books in the coming days to help support this exciting initiative. You can either leave them at Mr. Llorenç’s office or send your child to school with the books, and they can be handed in to Mr. Llorenç. Your participation as part of the GVS community is greatly appreciated.

We are very proud of our Green Valley students who took part in the European Youth Parliament (EYP) Regional Selection Session in the Balearic Islands. Over three days, they debated key European issues and presented their ideas in a formal General Assembly.

An amazing experience—now we wait to see if they will represent the Balearic Islands at the National Session in A Coruña! 🇪🇺

Estamos muy orgullosos de nuestros alumnos de Green Valley que participaron en la sesión regional del Parlamento Europeo de la Juventud (EYP) en Baleares. Durante tres días, debatieron temas clave europeos y presentaron sus ideas en una Asamblea General.

Una experiencia increíble—¡ahora a esperar si representarán a Baleares en la sesión nacional en A Coruña! 🇪🇺

Our Year 6 students enjoyed an exciting trip to the aerodrome. They watched a powered paraglider in action, learned about the history of aviation, explored over 160 model aircraft, and even sat inside a real plane!

With sunshine, outdoor lunch by the runway, and lots of smiles, it was a fantastic day.
6 children successfully completed the “parts of the plane” quiz and have been invited to Binissalem airfield for a short flight on Sunday 29th March at 10am… how exciting!

Nuestros alumnos de Year 6 disfrutaron de una emocionante excursión al aeródromo. Observaron un parapente motorizado en acción, aprendieron sobre la historia de la aviación, exploraron más de 160 maquetas de aviones e incluso se sentaron en una avioneta real.

Con sol, comida al aire libre junto a la pista y muchas sonrisas, fue un día fantástico.
6 alumnos completaron con éxito el cuestionario sobre las partes del avión y han sido invitados al aeródromo de Binissalem para disfrutar de un breve vuelo el domingo 29 de marzo a las 10:00… ¡qué emoción! ✈️

After three weeks of exciting competition, the 2026 Green Valley Open Table Tennis Tournament has come to an end.

With 16 players — including 4 teachers — and 55 matches played, the tournament was full of skill, determination and great sportsmanship.

In the final, Aral (Year 11) defeated Leo (Year 9V) in straight sets to claim the 2026 title. Congratulations to both finalists and well done to all players who took part. We’re already looking forward to next year! 🏓👏

Tras tres semanas de emocionante competición, el Torneo Open de Tenis de Mesa Green Valley 2026 ha llegado a su final.

Con 16 participantes —incluidos 4 profesores— y 55 partidos disputados, el torneo estuvo lleno de talento, esfuerzo y deportividad.

En la final, Aral (Year 11) venció a Leo (Year 9V) en sets seguidos para proclamarse campeón de 2026. ¡Enhorabuena a ambos finalistas y a todos los participantes! Ya esperamos con ganas la próxima edición. 🏓👏

On Thursday 12th March, our Year 5 team played their first match together against King Richard III. Despite facing a mixed team from Years 5, 6 and 7, the boys narrowly lost 2–3 after a very unlucky game.

Their teamwork, encouragement and resilience truly reflected the values we promote at our school. We are very proud of how they represented the school. Well done, boys! ⚽👏

El jueves 12 de marzo, nuestro equipo de Year 5 jugó su primer partido juntos contra King Richard III. A pesar de enfrentarse a un equipo mixto de Year 5, 6 y 7, los chicos perdieron por un ajustado 2–3 tras un partido con muy mala suerte.

Su trabajo en equipo, apoyo y resiliencia reflejaron perfectamente los valores de nuestro colegio. ¡Estamos muy orgullosos de ellos! ⚽👏

🌱 Value of the Month: Patience

This week we introduced our new Value of the Month for March: Patience. This will be the focus of our Human Values lessons, with all staff encouraging students to practise this important value.

Learning to wait, try again and stay calm when things are difficult helps children build resilience, confidence and stronger friendships. Let’s plant the seed of Patience and watch our children grow. 🌿

Last week, as part of our preparations for the San Antoni celebrations, our Spanish team introduced this traditional saint to our students. Afterwards, the children designed their own demonic masks — a key element of the festivities.

La semana pasada, como preparación para las celebraciones de San Antoni, nuestro equipo de español explicó este santo tradicional a nuestro alumnado. Después, los niños y niñas diseñaron su propia máscara demoníaca, un elemento central de estas fiestas.
