Medieval bread…yes please! Y1+2 became bakers this week as part of their topic, ‘Castles’. They made bread rolls from scratch which they then enjoyed during their very own feast. 🏰

The primary school invited parents to join us for ‘Lunch and Learning Walks’ so they could have an insight into their children’s day to day life. Chef Mark shared a little bit about how the kitchen works and their aims, whilst parents sampled lunch. Our Head Pupils then gave them a guided tour of the primary school so they could see their children in action! It was special to share these moments.
Achievement in sport is not only about personal success — it is also about how we support and inspire those around us. ⛵👏
During our Year 7 & 8 sailing classes, Year 8 student Bruno demonstrated not only excellent sailing skills, but also outstanding care and encouragement towards others. Throughout the sessions, he supported, coached, and guided the students in his group, including our younger Year 7 sailors, helping them build both confidence and skills on the water.
At Bellver College, we deeply value students who share their knowledge, care for others, and help each other across year groups. Bruno’s actions are a perfect example of these values in the world of sport.
We are incredibly proud that Bruno will receive one of the school’s highest honours — the Principal Award — in recognition of his exemplary contribution, sportsmanship, and commitment to others.
Well done, Bruno! 🌟

Year 5 have been creating persuasive adverts for their ‘healthy junk food alternative’. In preparation, they spent time collecting data about food trends and preferences from their friends in primary. They had statistics to include in their adverts, and also got to practise drawing bar graphs and waffle diagrams to present the data. They ended the project by collating their writing and maths investigations into their final persuasive adverts. Take a look!

After their letter writing topic, Year 3 have now received four replies to the letters they wrote to a famous person who they wanted to find out about. Two from the Spanish Royal Family, one from the King of England, and even a hand written letter from author Alex Willmore! This has brought lots of excitement. •

What better way to end a hot Friday than with some homemade, fresh orange and mango lollies. What a fantastic surprise! Thanks Chef Mark😊

Years 1, 2 + 3 spent a great day at Bellver Castle learning about the history of the castle, marching like the knights who would have lived there, and drawing their own castle. There was even time to eat lunch in the forest and play in the park. What fun!

Year 6 have been learning about instructional writing. For homework they were given the task of producing a set of instructions, with some choosing to write instructions whilst others made videos. Have a look at some of their amazing work.
Sailing classes have started for our students of Year 3 to Year 8. For the next 6 weeks, our students will join the team of to practise their sailing skills, as part of our sport programme.
