The Academy School The joy of learning/ El placer de aprender Welcome to The Academy International School. The Academy International School is a dynamic centre of education.

On this website we have tried to convey the holistic approach to education which is followed at our school. Our strong belief in education in the broadest sense which permeates all our teaching and learning. While providing the students with a very high form of academia we also encourage the students in their development of the necessary life skills to become responsible, compassionate and successful citizens of the world. At The Academy we have combined the beauty of our natural surroundings with modern facilities and up to date resources to create an environment which is extremely conducive to learning. We are constantly evolving in response to the changing necessities of the students and reflecting the global environment. The children follow the National Curriculum of England and Wales which incorporates a wide spectrum of subjects and topics and the International Diploma Program in the final two years of study before university. At The Academy International School there are over 400 students ranging in age from 2 to 18. The majority of the students are Spanish, British or German. However, there are students from each of the continents. This international representation gives the students a global perspective and allows for the promotion of a rich cultural experience. Many activities throughout the school year provide the children with the opportunity to share and learn from each other in an environment that promotes learning as a partnership between teachers, parents, children and the community as a whole. Esta semana, nuestros alumnos más pequeños han estado explorando los colores y han trabajado duro para clasificar materiales como pompones y pinzas de madera en grupos. Algunos niños trabajaron de forma independiente, mientras que otros lo hicieron en equipo y con la ayuda de los adultos para resolver el reto. ¡Gran trabajo en equipo, Nursery!

This week our youngest students have been looking at colours and worked hard to sort resources such as pompoms and wooden pegs into groups. Some of the children worked independently while other children worked together and with adults to solve the challenge. Great team work Nursery!

Gracias a todos los alumnos, padres y personal por hacer de las reuniones de bienvenida una forma tan agradable de comenzar juntos el curso escolar. Ha sido un placer ver todas esas caras conocidas y dar la bienvenida a las nuevas familias a nuestra encantadora comunidad. Esperamos pasar un año estupendo juntos.

Thank you to all the students, parents and staff for making the welcome evenings such a lovely way to start the school year together. It was so nice to see all the familiar faces and to welcome new families to our lovely community. We are looking forward to a great year together.

[ES] Los resultados del Bachillerato Internacional (IB) de la promoción 2026 reflejan el compromiso, la dedicación y el esfuerzo de nuestros alumnos y de todo el equipo docente que los ha acompañado durante este exigente recorrido académico.
Con una nota media de 34,67 puntos, una puntuación máxima de 44 puntos y un 97 % de aprobados, la promoción de 2026 vuelve a demostrar el alto nivel académico de The Academy International School.
Queremos felicitar a todos nuestros alumnos por este importante logro y agradecer a las familias y al profesorado su confianza, apoyo y compromiso.

Junior Summer School y Senior Summer School llegan a su fin después de semanas llenas de aprendizaje, diversión y experiencias compartidas.
Juegos, deporte, creatividad, excursiones, nuevos amigos y mucho inglés han hecho de este verano una experiencia única, en la que cada día ha sido una oportunidad para crecer, descubrir y disfrutar.

[ES] A los niños les encantó recrear el mundo de los dinosaurios con terrenos pantanosos, erupciones volcánicas y aprender todo sobre los diferentes tipos de dinosaurios que vagaban por la tierra. ¡También descubrimos algunas huellas de dinosaurios en The Academy!

[EN] The children loved recreating the world of the dinosaurs with swap lands, volcanic eruptions, and learning all about the different types of dinosaurs that roamed the land. We also discovered some dinosaur footprints in The Academy!

[ES] Fue estupendo que los niños pudieran disfrutar de tantas actividades refrescantes, como la natación, los deportes acuáticos y el tobogán hinchable. Los niños practican deporte por la mañana y disfrutan de los juegos en equipo antes de que haga demasiado calor.

[EN] It was so nice for the children to have lots of cooling down activities with swimming, water sports, and the bouncy slide. The children have sports in the morning and enjoy the team games before the day gets too hot.

[ES] Mientras todos los niños, desde Year 6 hasta el Programa del Bachillerato (DP), disfrutaban de los toboganes en Aqu...

[ES] Mientras todos los niños, desde Year 6 hasta el Programa del Bachillerato (DP), disfrutaban de los toboganes en Aqualand, los niños desde Infantil hasta Year 5 celebraron el final del curso con una jornada llena de diversión y actividades en el colegio. Los niños disfrutaron de un tobogán acuático enorme e hinchable, se divirtieron nadando y jugando en la piscina, y participaron en juegos acuáticos en el jardín. Muchísimas gracias a todos los profesores que acompañaron a los alumnos mayores a Aqualand o que se quedaron en Junior School para hacer de este un día realmente divertido para los niños.

Los niños estaban muy emocionados con todas las actividades acuáticas, y Ms. Hannah, Mr. Costa y Ms. Cristie mostraron un entusiasmo increíble para asegurarse de que todos los niños se lo pasaran en grande. Los niños también realizaron actividades de arte y manualidades con Ms. Gould, Ms. Mc Kinney y Ms. Juncosa. A todos les encantaron estas sesiones creativas a la sombra de los árboles. Ms. Munar, Ms. Wood y Ms. Jan organizaron talleres de elaboración de magdalenas con los niños de Year 3 a Year 5, y los niños quedaron encantados con estos dulces. Ms. López y Mr. Llopis dirigieron el club de karaoke, ¡que también fue todo un éxito! Qué forma tan emocionante de terminar el curso.

[ES] Los alumnos de Year 5 visitaron Jungle Park en una emocionante excursión educativa centrada en el desarrollo del trabajo en equipo. Fue una experiencia valiosa y divertida para todos, ya que trabajaron juntos, siguieron las instrucciones de seguridad y se apoyaron mutuamente a lo largo de nuevas aventuras. Después, los niños disfrutaron de un breve paseo hasta una pequeña playa cercana, donde pararon para almorzar juntos.

[EN] Year 5 visited Jungle Parc for an exciting educational trip focused on developing teamwork. It was a valuable and fun experience for everyone as they worked together, followed safety instructions, and supported one another through new adventures. Afterwards, the children enjoyed a short walk to a nearby small beach, where they stopped to have lunch together.
