The Follow -us Project has come to an end ✨
After much work and effort the project objectives have been successfully reached and the proposed results have been achieved: The Follow-us Training Programme for NEETs, The Trainer Upskill Course and the Follow-Us Platform are now available to the public through our website: https://follow-us.org/

To summarize the process of accessing the platform we have created a video tutorial where you can see all the functionalities and advantages offered by the platform.

📊 Latest stats from Eurostat show some promising trends in unemployment rates in the EU! In January 2024, the overall unemployment rate in the EU remained stable at 6.0%, but for young people under 25, the numbers are still challenging.

With a youth unemployment rate of 14.9% in the EU and 14.5% in the euro area, it's clear there's still work to be done to support our youth in finding meaningful employment opportunities.

Yesterday we had the pleasure of holding the final conference of the Follow-Us project at the Chamber of Commerce of Mallorca.

During this session, we had the presence of Susana Pinyar Estudio., marketing and branding expert who gave us a talk about the importance for SMEs to have a presence in social networks.

🖥 We also presented the three main results of the project, The training programme for NEETs, The Upskill Course and Teachers Book for Social Inclusion Workers and the Follow-Us Platform.

We would like to thank all those who participated in the session, as well as all of you who joined us in this adventure. We hope you enjoy the deliverables and that you embark on the world of social media with the Follow Us tools. 📲

In our shared commitment to the well-being of young people, we recognize the growing challenge of discriminating content on social media. As social workers, you play a crucial role in guiding and supporting youth through these experiences. Here are some tips to navigate this important aspect of your work:

1️⃣ Open Dialogue:
Foster open conversations with young people about their online experiences. Create a safe space for them to share any discriminatory content they may encounter.

2️⃣ Educate on Online Etiquette:
Empower youth with knowledge about respectful online behavior. Discuss the impact of discriminatory content and help them understand the importance of treating others with kindness and empathy.

3️⃣ Teach Digital Literacy:
Equip young people with the skills to critically assess and navigate online content. Teaching them how to distinguish between reliable and harmful information is a powerful tool.
