From study tips and presentation skills to public speaking, our students in 3rd and 4th ESO have been sharing their tips for success in workshops across 5th and 6th grade as part of a collaborative project in Ethics and Civic Values.

Our very first ESO Cinema a la Fresca was a huge hit! A special thanks goes out to the students who helped set up the equipment. It was such a fun evening and a wonderful way for everyone to connect as a community. This is definitely going on our growing list of Sullivan traditions. Plus, a strict no-phone policy kept the night entirely focused on being present in the moment.

Our 3K for Hospital Sant Joan de Déu was a resounding success! Our students in 1st of ESO organized a fantastic initiative that raised money and encouraged everyone to get outside and test their endurance!

There has been tremendous momentum this week with a wave of charitable donations coming in, all supporting wonderful causes chosen by our students. At Anne Sullivan, students give back in a variety of ways—whether by feeding the unhoused, leading cultural outings for unaccompanied minors, or raising funds through entrepreneurial efforts. It is all part of our vision to empower every student with the confidence to be a changemaker.

We’re preparing to welcome our incoming 6th graders into the ESO family! Moving up is a big step, and there’s no one better than the fellow students who’ve already been in their shoes to help them navigate this transition. To make them feel right at home, our current ESO students will be conducting 1-to-1 chats with them all week.

In History we try to keep things creative. Students studying the French Revolution were asked to represent it either through puppets, acting or animation. The following are two great examples of how student creativity keeps learners engaged.

All ESO students are invited to play Musical Bingo this coming Thursday during Tutoria! Come win prizes and help us give back.

As part of a recent project, our 2nd ESO students have been interviewing local nonprofits to learn about the incredible work they do. To thank these organizations, students were asked to organize a charity drive for a cause of their choice. This group has proudly chosen to support l’Associació de Prematurs de Catalunya through Sant Joan de Déu. Join us for a fun time and a great cause!

In their 2030 learning plan the OECD says “students need opportunities to develop their creative ingenuity to help propel humanity towards a bright future.” In Entrepreneurship we have been examining cinematic advertisement. From Chanel to Apple to Sony, major companies invest millions in connecting their customers to an emotion. It’s not always immediately obvious what is being advertised but they have us hooked and we remember. These are just a few of the great examples our students in Second created. Can you guess what’s being advertised?
