Collin is our Irish student spending the school year here in Spain. Yesterday he came back to Murcia after the holidays at home with his family in Ireland, and he was lucky enough to celebrate Three Kings’ Day with us and experience one of our favourite traditions.
It was also his birthday recently, which he got to celebrate here in Spain too. I absolutely love seeing how well he’s settled in and how much he’s learning along the way… I think we can safely say we’ve adopted a new Murcian

✨ Yesterday was International Ballet Day, and Murcia’s Cathedral Square came alive with a stunning ballet performance. 💃🩰
Strolling through Murcia is always a delight — you never know what surprise awaits around the next corner, but one thing’s for sure: the festive spirit is everywhere! 🌸
And with 23°C in the middle of November, it’s no wonder the streets are always buzzing with life. ☀️💛

Collin has come all the way from Ireland to spend his school year in Murcia. 🇮🇪➡️🇪🇸
He has already started classes, is adapting really well to his new school, and his host family is absolutely delighted with him. 🏡✨
He arrived at a very special moment: right when Murcia is celebrating the traditional festivities in honor of the Virgen de la Fuensanta. 🎉 The city is full of life, activities, and cultural events that make this experience even more unique. 🌟
We are truly happy that Collin has the opportunity to discover our culture, our traditions, and of course, our language. 💬🇪🇸
It’s going to be an amazing year for him! 🎊

Palm Sunday commemorates the day Jesus entered Jerusalem, greeted by crowds waving palm branches in celebration. Today, we honor that moment with handcrafted palms made from white palm fronds, which are covered from sunlight as they grow to preserve their pale color.
In southern Spain, it’s a beloved tradition to create intricate Palm Sunday designs through detailed hand-weaving techniques. These artisanal palms often take hours to make, with some becoming true works of art, passed down through generations as symbols of devotion and craftsmanship.
