Very slowly beginning to move again 🥰
We so underestimate the importance of moving our body for our general wellbeing and balance of mind, something I talk a lot about in yoga practice!
A few days ago I entered a very low place mentally, frustration at my lack of mobility, the reality of loneliness through recuperation and recovery and an apathetic state of body and mind.
Having come across some reading material online of a Shaolin monk, he verbalised what I needed to hear in that moment.. if we do not move the body, where does all of that energy from the body go? into the mind creating overthinking. So I got moving, followed some online videos of what exercises are possible with one foot in recovery after injury.. and half an hour later I felt so much better. How exercise releases the endorphins and feel good chemicals in our brain is amazing.
I am now 3 weeks into recovery and have moved on from the horrid plaster cast to a boot that I am able to put 20% of my weight onto with crutches... so I am beginning to finally move m body again and feel that my foot belongs to me and to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Just to feel the connection of our body, feel the blood move makes us appreciate so much how ur body actually functions. Little by little making progress 🥰

Week 2 of recuperation 🌈slowly learning what im able to and not able to do yet.
I cannot emphasise enough the importance of listening to our inner instinct when trying to recuperate from accident, illness, trauma or injury 💕
We think we are ready for stuff that we are so not ready for, we are exhausted, we feel vulnerable and only happy to be where we feel safe 💕
We forget that when we feel we cannot cope with certain situations it is because we are in the process of recuperation and healing, and it all takes time, sometimes lots of time. Our body has been impacted greatly, we have become inmobile and feel incapacitated, we have so many emotions going on from frustration, fear, anxiety and our nervous system has been impacted greatly.
Remembering it is ok to feel that we cannot cope sometimes, that it is ok how we feel and completely normal for anyone who is trying to recuperate, rehabilitate and to heal from a bad accident with a serious injury and that little by little things will get easier.
This injury has stopped me in my tracks as a busy and active mum of a 4 year old, normally rushing from pillar to post, with a young active dog, a house to run, a yoga teacher, studying sound therapy.. and boom.. everything turned upside down and i became almost completely inmobile from a freak accident with glass tupperware falling from the fridge and slicing my foot and tendon apart 😣
Not being able to care for my daughter, my dog, my husband, my home, my yoga clients.. has impacted me deeply 😞but i am learning to navigate the best way i can until my foot heals, my nervous system calms, and i can get my life back again.
Friends say it was universe making me put the breaks on, the only way i would slow down, maybe they are right 💕🌈i believe there is a lesson in every life situation that we have to pass through in this lifetime ⭐️
Thank you from my heart for all of the people around us that have offered support during these horrible times 🌈🙏i am learning patience and the importance of slowing down and listening to my body and my emotions 🌈
🌈I hope to see you soon back on the mat🙏💕🌈

Hi everyone 🥰 Im heartbroken to advise all of my wonderful clients that I am currently having to pause my yoga classes and sound sessions due to a horrid accident last week that resulted in surgery to fix a cut tendon from a glass Tupperware dish smashing to the floor and through my foot 😞 resulting in me hobbling about on crutches for the next few weeks until healing has taken place. My lovely friend Charro is standing in for me to cover my yoga classes every Friday on La Cala de Mijas beach (lifeguard platform) at 9.30-10.45 so if you would like to join please message me and I will add you to our WhatsApp group. I hope to see you back on the mat soon 😘

⭐️My second sound therapy case study session 💕im learning so much on this amazing journey with these beautiful instruments and meeting some very special people 💕
⭐️Sound and frequency are magic
⭐️Our bodies and everything that surrounds us in nature and the universe are made up of frequencies and vibration ⭐️
⭐️Sound healing uses external vibrations to help "re-tune"cells and tissues. It uses long, resonant tones to lower blood pressure and heart rate, shifting the body from a "fight or flight" stress response to a relaxed parasympathetic state.
⭐️Sound frequencies can stimulate specific brain waves, helping to improve cognitive processing and mental clarity.
⭐️Interested in joining my case study sessions? In my next session we will work with the incredible healing frequencies of the Gong

Our Friday morning beach hatha yoga classes in La Cala de Mijas are about so much more than simply moving our bodies, calming our minds and relaxation ⭐️
We find a wonderful community just being present with likeminded souls. 💕
We share a space together that is a safe space, a place where we are able to breathe, to laugh, to cry, to find strength, balance and wellbeing, or to simply find a moment of being able to experience being present in the moment, moving our bodies in nature surrounded by the sounds of the waves and feeling the warm sunshine on our backs ☀️
Thank you to my dear clients who trust in me enough to return every week and to learn a little more of the healing therapy of yoga 🙏💕i am deeply greatful to you all and for being able to teach in this beautiful spot in nature 🌈✨
