Yesterday we officially opened our new cross-country training course!

After raising €750 at the Summer Fair, our pupils and staff took on the challenge of completing 750 laps of the new 400m track. Together, they covered an incredible 300km – the equivalent of travelling from Marbella to Seville!

It was a fantastic day of teamwork, determination and community spirit. Not only did we reach our goal, but we went even further. A brilliant way to celebrate the opening of our new course!

On Saturday, 23rd May, from 10am until 2pm, our school proudly hosted an international-themed Summer Fair featuring exhibitions, international culinary treats, cultural presentations, and interactive workshops. The event brought together our community to celebrate the cultural and international diversity of our school through fun learning and shared experiences.

A huge thank you to all the parents, teachers and students involved, as we are delighted to share that the fair also raised an incredible €4,497.28 for Association Cadi, a charity that supports children with disabilities and special educational needs.

Last week, a select group of BISM’s most talented musicians performed in this year’s Summer Concert, showcasing the incredible work of pupils during EEC lessons and within our school service ensembles. The event also served as a celebration of those who successfully passed their ABRSM examinations, as well as Level 1 and Level 2 instrumental programmes, making for a wonderful evening that highlighted the talent within our school and the excellence of BISM’s Music Department.

A huge thank you to all the students who participated, the Music Department for organising such a fantastic event, and to all the parents and guests in attendance for their support and contribution to this brilliant performance.

Last week, we had the privilege of welcoming Anton Tohill to the British International School of Marbella.

Anton delivered an inspiring presentation on his journey to success, followed by a powerful talk about his work as a Movember ambassador, with a focus on mental health, recognising when support is needed, and how to support a friend who may not seem themselves.

Following the talk, students took part in a hands-on Gaelic football training session led by Anton, where they developed key skills, improved ball handling, and enjoyed a lively taster game under his expert guidance.

A truly enriching experience combining sport, wellbeing, and inspiration.
