♟️ Congratulations to Stephen and all the players in our Primary Chess Club!
We are delighted to share that our team finished an impressive 6th place overall in the Global Finals, narrowly missing 5th place by just half a point.
We are incredibly proud of every student who took part. Beyond the competition results, what makes this achievement even more special is the enthusiasm shown by our chess community, with over 20 students attending Chess Club each week and many talented young players continuing to develop their skills.
A special thank you to Stephen and Trevor for their dedication, leadership and commitment to making Chess Club such a successful and rewarding experience for our children. The progress the students have made this year has been truly remarkable.
Well done, everyone! 👏♟️🏆

What do you hope your child takes with them long after they leave school? The ability to think critically, work with others and navigate a world that keeps changing?
At ISP, we call these life competencies and they're part of every lesson, every day.
We wanted to understand just how much of a difference this makes. So we partnered with researchers at Camtree based at Hughes Hall, University of Cambridge to find out — across 15 ISP schools around the world.
Students who build these skills at school carry them into university, into their careers and into life. The link to read the report is in our bio.

Forbes x ISP Meeting at Forbes House ✨
Our students recently had the opportunity to attend the Forbes x ISP Meeting at Forbes House, alongside students from schools across Spain, exploring topics such as academic futures, emotional intelligence, and the role of neuroscience in decision-making.
The session featured renowned neuroscientist Nazareth Castellanos, who shared valuable insights into how adolescence shapes cognitive and emotional development, especially in a world increasingly influenced by artificial intelligence and evolving educational pathways.
At Laude San Pedro International College, we believe education goes far beyond academics. Experiences like these help our students strengthen critical thinking, emotional awareness, and the confidence needed to navigate the challenges and opportunities of the future.

Last week we hosted a Multilingualism event at school, a great opportunity to highlight the importance of languages and cultural diversity within our community.
We were delighted to welcome parents into the school, where they took part in engaging activities alongside their children. It was wonderful to see families sharing the experience and getting actively involved in the learning process.
A special thank you to Mr Parker, Head of Multilingualism, who led the sessions and worked closely with parents to make the event both meaningful and enjoyable.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the event such a success!

Today we celebrated the second day of our Sports Day at school 🏅
On Tuesday, it was the turn of our youngest students, aged 3 to 5, who filled the day with excitement, smiles, and their very first medals. And today, our 9 to 11-year-olds took the spotlight, enjoying a fantastic multi-sports day full of effort, teamwork, and true sporting spirit.
We were also delighted to welcome parents, who joined us to support and cheer on their children. There’s no better motivation than hearing your family applaud you from the sidelines.
Well done to all our amazing athletes! 💙🏃♀️🏃♂️

Last Tuesday, we welcomed representatives from the Cáritas association, who came to our school to collect several boxes of clothing donated by Laude San Pedro for families in need.
This solidarity initiative is yet another reflection of our school community’s commitment to supporting those who need it most. Thanks to the involvement of students, families, and staff, we were able to contribute and give a second life to many garments.
We would like to thank Cáritas for their tireless work and close collaboration, as well as everyone who made this donation possible. Acts like this remind us of the importance of solidarity and mutual support.
We will continue working to promote values that go far beyond the classroom.

🏅 Outstanding Success at the 21st COSTA Athletics Event! 🏅
On Wednesday, Laude San Pedro proudly hosted the 21st edition of the prestigious COSTA Athletics event — one of the biggest sporting highlights of the year.
With over 500 student athletes from 10 international schools across the Costa del Sol, the atmosphere was electric from start to finish. Months of preparation paid off as students competed at a high level, showing determination, resilience, and true school spirit.
✨ Event Highlights:
🥇 Eva (Year 9) – 1st place in Shot Put
🥇 Leo (ESO3) – 1st place in both 400m and 800m
🥇 Lexie (Year 7) – 1st place in 400m
Across all 60 of our athletes, there was an incredible display of commitment, teamwork, and perseverance. Whether achieving personal bests, winning medals, or supporting teammates, every single student played a part in making the day a success.
COSTA Athletics is about more than medals, it’s about building confidence, pushing limits, and creating friendships across schools. And this year’s event truly reflected those values.
A huge thank you to all staff, organisers, volunteers and officials who made this event possible.
We are extremely proud of our athletes and can’t wait for the next competition! 💙🏃♀️🏃♂️

📚✨ Our Book Fair is in full swing!
It’s wonderful to see both students and parents enjoying the fair, exploring new titles, discovering favourite authors, and sharing the joy of reading.
Moments like these remind us that reading is not just an academic skill, but a lifelong habit that brings families and our school community together.
Thank you to everyone who has already visited, we look forward to welcoming many more of you! 📖

Last week, we enjoyed several very special sessions with our school nurse, who visited our Year 1 and Year 2 classes to deliver a first aid workshop.
The pupils learned in a hands-on and age-appropriate way how to respond to basic emergency situations, reinforcing the importance of taking care of themselves and others.
A truly valuable and enriching experience for everyone! 💙
