🧬 What can the results of an embryo biopsy tell us?

Embryo biopsy is not about selecting the “best-looking” embryo—it’s about understanding its chromosomal status through genetic analysis.

🔬 Following a trophectoderm biopsy and PGT, embryos are generally classified as:

✅ Euploid embryo
Has the expected number of chromosomes and is associated with a higher likelihood of implantation and successful pregnancy.

⚠️ Aneuploid embryo
Has an abnormal number of chromosomes, which may compromise embryo development or prevent implantation.

🟡 Mosaic embryo
Contains a mixture of euploid and aneuploid cells. These cases require careful interpretation and individualized clinical assessment.

💡 It’s important to remember that genetic testing provides valuable chromosomal information, but it does not guarantee treatment success.
