🧠✨ Psychology brought to life!

Our Year 12 Psychology students began the academic year by stepping into the shoes of some of the influential researchers they will be studying.

During a fast-paced “hot seat” challenge, each student took on the role of a renowned psychologist, such as Stanley, Albert or Jackie, and had just 90 seconds to present their pioneering theories, landmark experiments and lasting influence on our understanding of human behaviour. ⏱️🎤

This engaging activity encouraged students to synthesise complex ideas, compare contrasting psychological perspectives and develop the foundational knowledge that will support their learning throughout the year.

What a brilliant and thought-provoking start to their Psychology studies! 👏📚

🏆✨ What a fantastic way to finish our first week in Primary! ✨🏆

This afternoon, our Primary students came together for a fun House Kahoot Quiz! 📱🎉

Students were organised into mixed-year groups within their Houses, giving them a wonderful opportunity to get to know each other, work together and strengthen their House spirit 💙🤝

The questions were designed so that everyone could join in, contribute and, most importantly, have fun! 🥇🥈🥉 The afternoon wasn't about competition, it was about teamwork, collaboration and building connections across different year groups. 🌟

Lots of smiles, laughter and great teamwork made it the perfect way to celebrate the end of our first week back at school! 🏫💫

📚 Ready for an exciting year ahead at Thames British School!

Following the summer break, our Senior Leadership Team, new teachers, returning colleagues and staff came together last week to prepare everything for the start of the new academic year.

Our INSET programme provides the perfect opportunity to learn, collaborate and reconnect. We also shared some exciting developments for the next stage of our character education journey and strengthened our team through a welcome lunch and a fun bowling evening. 🎳

Everyone is refreshed, inspired and raring to go, and we cannot wait to see our students bringing our classrooms and corridors back to life very soon! 💙
