🎨🖍️ Learning English with Crafts! 🖍️🎨

Hey, parents and kids! Want to make English learning super fun? Try craft activities!

🖌️ Make colourful flashcards for new words.
🎭 Create puppets and put on a mini English show.
📚 Design and decorate your own storybooks!

After learning about the plant lifecycle during an English class, my students practised the new words with some hands-on activities. They decorated a plant pot and then planted a seedling in it. There was lots of English speaking and lots of fun, and they now have a seedling to look after and watch grow.

Crafting makes learning playful and helps kids remember words better. Let’s turn every craft session into an English adventure! 🚀✨

I love spring - the rainbow of colours from the spring flowers, nature coming to life, and the arrival of newborn wildlife. It's time to embrace the sunshine and blossoming flowers! 🌷 But why not sprinkle some English learning into this season? Here are some fun tips:

This is a poem by one of my students, Evie, which I absolutely love. We used a poetry prompt by Joseph Coelho, and it's called a MORERAPS poem, with each letter representing a poetic device. Can you spot them in Evie's poem? Look for a metaphor, onomatopoeia, rhyme, emotion, repetition, alliteration, personifications and a simile. Wow!

👋Good morning, everyone!
This was the sunset I saw this morning while walking my dogs. I knew then it was going to be a good day!

Knowing how to greet someone in any language is really important. It also helps you make friends, start a conversation, and bring a smile to someone's face.

Whether it's a cheerful "Hi!" or a warm "Hello, how are you?" - there are some fantastic ways to say hi! I start all of my classes with a greetings activity. Why not try learning greetings in English with a song? Songs offer a fun way for all ages to practice speaking English.
