Inhispania offers Spanish language and culture courses for all levels all year. We are located in one of the best areas in the city, at the intersection of Gran Via and Alcalá. The school is very close to many of the Madrid´s most famous monuments such as the Cibeles fountain (where the supporters of the Real Madrid meet after a win), the town hall, the Metrópolis, the terrace at Círculo de Bellas Artes and Banco de España.

🇪🇸In Spanish, adjectives agree with the noun they describe.

That means gender and number matter, and the rules aren’t always obvious.

👇🏻Here’s what you need to know:

🟡Adjectives ending in -e → don’t change
Interesante / interesante (interesting)

🟡Adjectives ending in -o → change -o to -a
Alto / alta (tall)

🟡Adjectives ending in -or → add -a
Trabajador / trabajadora (hardworking)

🟡Adjectives ending in other consonants → don’t change
Difícil / difícil (difficult)

🟡Nationality adjectives → add -a
Español / española (Spanish)

❌You don’t have to memorise everything at once.

🇪🇸but native speakers use them every single day.

Without them, something always sounds a little off, even when your grammar is perfect.

🟡 ¡Qué va! → natural way to deny or disagree with something
🟡 Venga → encouragement, reassurance (depends on context)
🟡 Tío/tía → informal, warm way to address someone (nothing to do with your uncle/aunt)
🟡 A ver → to look at something, to ask for an explanation (multiple uses)
🟡 Mola → something is cool, interesting or you really like it
🟡 No pasa nada → brushing something off, it’s not a big deal
🟡 Me da igual → showing indifference, you don’t mind either way
🟡 Estar hecho/a polvo → completely exhausted
