Children Save Lives! 🩺🧸
Over the past fortnight, our Nurse Marta has delivered 10 interactive workshops to all of our Early Years pupils, from Pre-Nursery right up to Year 1.
As part of our EY PSHE programme, these sessions aim to teach our little ones that you are never too young to make a massive difference.
From learning the emergency number through our famous 112 song to mastering basic CPR techniques, the children took it all in—completely adapted to their age group with fun activities and practising with their favourite cuddly toys!
We are so proud of our mini lifesavers! 👏
🇬🇧 A New Sixth Form Pathway: iA-Levels from September 2026
Starting in September 2026, our students will have access to International A-Levels, one of the most respected post-16 qualifications within the British education system.
With more than 85 years of excellence in British education in Spain, The British School – El Colegio Británico is introducing iA-Levels at its Pozuelo campus, offering a new academic pathway for Sixth Form students with a strong international outlook.
Following our incorporation into Inspired Education, we have been able to broaden and enrich the post-16 options available to our students, enabling them to choose the pathway that best reflects their strengths, interests and future ambitions.
With the introduction of the iA-Levels, our post-16 academic pathways now include:
• BiBac®, our bilingual Spanish Baccalaureate pathway
• International A-Levels
• The IB Diploma Programme (Candidate School, 2027)

🩺 In the month of International Nurses Day, we want to show how the value of this profession is demonstrated every single day at our school.
Together with the canteen team, we carried out an emergency drill on how to proceed in the event of an allergic food reaction. We put theoretical knowledge, procedures to follow and, above all, reaction time to the test.
Educating, coordinating and preventing is also what caring is about.

Celebrating San Isidro in Early Years! 🌸
To celebrate Madrid’s patron saint, our youngest learners have been diving into the vibrant traditions of San Isidro during their assemblies.
Through age-appropriate stories, music, and discussions, the children explored the city's rich cultural heritage. They loved learning about the traditional 'chulapo' and 'chulapa' outfits, the lively steps of the chotis, and the sights and sounds of organillos and barquilleros. And, of course, we could not talk about San Isidro without mentioning delicious rosquillas and chocolate with churros! ☕️✨
These playful activities are a wonderful way for our pupils to develop their speaking skills, practice group participation, and connect with their local community in a truly meaningful way.
