Why is this topic so confusing?

Quick explanation:

💕 In the affirmative command, the pronoun attaches to the END of the verb (unlike almost everywhere else in Spanish, where it goes before). That’s why it’s pregúntaLO; siéntaTE; vamoNOS. This is called an enclitic pronoun. In the negative command, it moves back to its usual spot, before the verb: no ME LO expliques.

💕Also, when we have both the direct (LO/LA/LOS/LAS) and the indirect object (ME/TE/LE/LES/OS) together, the order needs to get fixed: indirect object first, the direct object after:

✅me + lo, dímelo
❌lo + me, dílome

💕 Every pronoun you add makes the word longer, and Spanish has to "protect" the verb's original stress in writing so it doesn't shift. That’s why a tilde is added, “explica” becomes “expl*í*came”. The stressed syllable is the same one, and we differentiate it with a tilde.

El día but la noche. El problema but la idea. El agua is technically feminine but takes "el". There's no logic, just try to accept them 🥲

This is the exact setup I'd give any beginner learning Spanish. It's the same one I used when I was learning Italian (and also Portuguese! but that notebook is at my mom’s house), so I've tested it from the student side too.
