“Farmacias de guardia” or “Late night Pharmacies” are essential for the Spanish communities. And always extremely helpful. That, I do miss from Spain: a good pharmacist.
Half the pharmacies in your Spanish town are shut in August. The other half take turns.
It's called the farmacia de guardia. The duty pharmacy. There's always one open, day or night, even at 3am, even on a holiday, even in the dead of August.
Every pharmacy has a sign in the window telling you which one is on tonight and where to find it. Your phone will find it too. Search farmacia de guardia and your town.
