Beware of false friends! 😏
1. Having children is a big commitment. ✔️
ESP - Tener niños es un gran compromiso.
COMPROMISE means un mutuo acuerdo en que los dos lados hacen concesiones (it can also be used as a verb – to compromise).
2. They were expecting to have a great time on vacation, but it was a big disappointment. ✔️
ESP - Esperaban pasárselo bien en las vacaciones, pero fue una decepción.
In English DECEPTION means engaño, no decepción. 😉
