Olga ECAN Russia:
🧠 Colleagues, be honest: how many times have you done "everything right" — and the pain still came back?

We all want to help. But sometimes our best intentions work against us — especially when it comes to fascia.

Here are 5 mistakes that make fascial pain worse (and 90% of therapists make them

❌ Mistake 1: Applying heat where it hurts
Heat relaxes muscles. But if the issue is fascial — overheating can increase inflammation and swelling. Cold for the first 48 hours. Heat only when the tissue is ready.

❌ Mistake 2: Pressing harder
"More pain = more gain" is a dangerous myth. Fascia doesn't respond well to aggressive pressure. It reacts with spasm. Work gently, deeply — but without force.

❌ Mistake 3: Stretching aggressively
Stretching is good — but not on "cold" fascia. Sudden stretching creates micro-tears and scarring. Warm up first, then lengthen slowly.

❌ Mistake 4: Ignoring the feet
Fascia runs from the crown of your head to your toes. Tight feet = imbalances in the lower back and neck. Local work without addressing the feet is wasted effort.

❌ Mistake 5: Treating only the symptom
The pain is gone — great. But the cause remains. In a month, it will be back — maybe somewhere else, maybe worse.

✅ What actually works?

Work with fascia correctly. Understand its lines. See the connection between the foot and the neck, the pelvis and the jaw.

Professor David Lujan spent 20 years developing a method that addresses all of this.

🧠 Colleagues, ever had a patient point to their lower back — but the real issue was in their foot?

Pain lies. Referred pain is the sneakiest trap in practice.

If you only treat where it hurts — without MMT, without finding the true source — you're just managing symptoms. And the patient will be back.

🔍 3 signs it's fascial pain:
1. Pain with no clear location
Lower back today, neck tomorrow, shoulder next week. MRI clean. Fascia is a web — tension in one place echoes elsewhere.

2. Pain after static posture
Two hours at a desk — back goes stiff. A short drive — neck locks up. That's fascial freezing, not muscle fatigue.

3. Manual work lasts a day or two
You release it. 48 hours later — it's back. Fascia holds patterns. Without retraining the tissue, relief is temporary.

🧩 Diagnosis is everything
The pain point is rarely the cause point.

Knee pain? Check the glute. Low back? Check the foot. Without MMT and fascial chain understanding, you're guessing.

✅ What actually works
Treat the system, not the symptom. Understand fascial lines.

🔥 "I took ibuprofen for 10 years. Now my kidneys are failing."

This is a real message from a real patient.

Millions reach for anti-inflammatories every day. Back pain. Knees. Arthritis. For a few hours — it helps.

But here's what nobody tells you...

🧐 THE PROBLEM

Anti-inflammatories don't heal. They just silence the signal — without ever asking why your body is in pain.

While the signal is muted, the cause remains. Fascia stays restricted. Tension patterns continue.

📊 THE SCIENCE

2024 meta-analysis (119 studies, 17,000+ participants): NSAIDs showed pain reduction comparable to placebo for chronic pain.

2024 study: Long-term NSAID use increases risk of:
⚠️ Gastrointestinal bleeding
⚠️ Cardiovascular events
⚠️ Kidney damage

💡 BOTTOM LINE

Anti-inflammatories DON'T:
❌ Restore fascial glide
❌ Release chronic tension
❌ Teach the body new movement patterns

They just mask the signal.

👋 Let's be honest, colleagues.
We all work with pain. Every day. Backs, necks, chronic conditions that haven't responded to treatment for years.

Sometimes our tools work. Sometimes they don't. And then we search, we try, we search again...
Professor David Lujan dedicated 20 years to this search. He traveled to 9 countries, trained 3,000+ practitioners, and helped 10,000+ patients.

And you know what he discovered?

That working with pain isn't magic. It's a system. A method. Understanding how fascia and acupuncture connect into one approach that actually works.

On March 1, for the first time ever, he's hosting a free public webinar — for practitioners like us.

For those who don't settle and keep looking for real tools.

❗️If you had a tough case this week — come. If your usual methods didn't work — come❗️

Professor Lujan will share solutions that work where other approaches fall short
