Moving your family to a new country is exciting. It can also come with a lot of questions.

Will my child settle in? Will they make friends? Will they feel at home? Did we make the right decision?

In a new feature from Mother Euro, our Director of Enrollment and External Affairs, Kat Simison, shares her own experience of moving to Madrid with her three-year-old daughter, and what she has learned from helping other international families make the same transition.

At Brewster Madrid, we know that choosing a school is about much more than academics. It’s about finding a place where your child feels known, supported and ready to grow, while your family finds its own sense of belonging.

And we’re back! How quickly did the summer fly by?

Last week, our teachers returned to Brewster and got ready to welcome our students back for another year of learning, growth, and discovery.

At our La Moraleja campus, new and returning teachers kicked things off with a team-building challenge, working together to build towers using limited materials. They then came together in their divisions and spent the week preparing for one very important thing: welcoming our students back on Friday.

The classrooms are ready, our teachers are ready, and we’re buzzing to have our Brewster community back together!

At Brewster Madrid, we celebrate the everyday actions that help shape extraordinary learners.

Throughout the year, Lower School students can earn value certificates for demonstrating our core values: caring, creative, curious, and persistent. Students who earn five or more certificates receive the High Five Award, recognizing their commitment to consistently living these values both inside and outside the classroom. 🙌

To celebrate this achievement, students enjoyed a special surprise filled with extra playtime, Calippos, and plenty of smiles. 🍦🎉

Congratulations to all of our High Five recipients for leading by example and making our community stronger every day.

In June, we celebrated our Grade 8 students as they officially moved on to Upper School, marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of another.

What made this celebration so special was the role of our advisors. One by one, they invited each student to stand and shared stories, memories, and reflections on the growth they have witnessed throughout the year. There were smiles, laughter, and a few emotional moments as we celebrated not only academic achievement, but the people our students are becoming.

We also recognized six students who have been part of Brewster Madrid since we first opened our doors in 2023. To honor their journey and the role they have played in shaping our community, each student was presented with a book as a keepsake of this important milestone.

Congratulations, Grade 8. We'll see you in September, ready for your next adventure.

The American Experience at Brewster Madrid gives Grade 10 students the chance to spend a term at Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, stepping into life at a traditional American boarding school while staying fully connected to their academic journey in Madrid.

This year’s math results reflect strong and consistent student growth across Lower School. 📊✨

Across Grades 1–5, students demonstrated clear progress in their mathematical understanding, with the majority now performing confidently at or above grade-level expectations.

From developing strong foundational Number Knowledge in the younger grades to advancing conceptual understanding in Upper Primary, students have shown focus, perseverance, and real ownership of their learning.

This growth is a reflection of dedicated teaching, engaged learners, and a shared commitment to academic excellence.
