It’s that time of year again. While most of us are counting down the days until summer, our Seniors are counting down to the start of a new chapter.
On Monday, we gave our Seniors the traditional Brewster farewell. Teachers presented students with accolades, followed by the whole Brewster community gathering outside the school building for the traditional clap-out.
Emotions were high as they stepped through the school gates as students for the final time, but we already can’t wait to welcome them back as Brewster Madrid alumni.
Tomorrow, we will celebrate them all at graduation and look forward to congratulating them on their achievements and next steps.

We are so proud of Paula (Class of ’27) for her role in Los Chicos del Coro at Teatro La Latina in Madrid.
Based on the acclaimed film Les Choristes, the production highlights the transformative power of music and education. Paula performs as Francisca in the children’s cast, appearing across multiple seasons in a high-level professional production in front of full audiences each week.
Reflecting on her experience, Paula shared, “It has been an incredible experience to perform in a packed theater week after week and to be part of a production of such a high artistic level.”
She adds, “In addition to learning about acting, singing, and dancing, I have also improved valuable skills such as teamwork, discipline, responsibility, resilience, and confidence.”
Paula also shared, “I take away unforgettable memories with my fellow cast members and am deeply grateful to the producers and directors for the trust they have placed in me.”
She concludes, “I would like to thank Brewster Madrid for its constant support and for helping me balance my passion for musical theatre with my academic responsibilities.”
Well done, Paula!

How do you know if your answer is actually correct?
In Middle School math, students put their understanding of volume to the test through a hands-on challenge. After identifying and researching a three-dimensional shape, they calculated its volume and then checked their work by measuring and pouring that exact amount of water into the figure.
The results led to a great discussion about precision, problem-solving, and the importance of applying math correctly. After all, in the real world, from filling a swimming pool to designing a water bottle or planning a building, accuracy matters.
By connecting mathematical concepts to tangible experiences, students gain a deeper understanding of how what they learn in the classroom applies beyond it.

From Chamberí to La Moraleja, the Brewster community came alive in a celebration of creativity last week.
Our Fine and Performing Arts Festival brought together students of all ages across both campuses for an afternoon of art, performance, and hands-on creativity. Teachers and students alike took to the stage, alongside a wide range of live music, dance, and theater performances. Around the school, students also took part in sculpture painting, mural making, tie-dye, and face painting, while outdoor spaces featured bubble blowing and stilt walking performed by visiting artists.
Creativity is one of our four core Brewster values, and it was inspiring to see it brought to life with such energy across both Madrid campuses.

Yesterday, both our Chamberí and La Moraleja campuses came together to celebrate San Isidro, one of Madrid’s most cherished traditions. 🇪🇸✨
San Isidro honors the patron saint of Madrid and is filled with music, dance, traditional dress, and community spirit. Throughout the afternoon, students took part in workshops, enjoyed 'chotis' dance performances, and celebrated the culture and heritage of the city we call home.
From flowers and boinas to chocolate con churros, it was a joyful day shared across both campuses as one community. 🌷💃

From bold shadows to the smallest details, Upper School students at La Moraleja are transforming simple still life objects into realistic works of art. As they experiment with shading pencils and drawing techniques, students are learning how light, shadow, proportion, and value work together to create depth, texture, and lifelike form on the page.
