🔹Become a multi / omni specialist. Pure specialization will become way less relevant the ability to see the bigger picture, connect departments, functions, sectors, roles, problems and solutions.

Orchestration and Vision for the massive power we are unlocking is much more important than specialized tasks that AI can or probably will be able to do infinitely and better than any or all humans.

Learn all the things you always saw useful but never allowed yourself to becuase "it´s not your field" and/or "you are spreading yourself too thin". The game is now seeing who can spread themselves the most.

🔹Brace for Cyber Attacks, Global & Local conflicts, outages, job displacement, total privacy elimination, and every possible crisis or dystopian scenario you can imagine.

🔹Learn all you can about AI Agents, because they are coming fast, and will disrupt everything. Expect Billions of Autonomous super intelligent beings continuously performing more actions in a day than all humanity combined

AI gives anyone a disproportionate advantage with such asymetry that soon some will dominate the market, while most will be completely dependent

Helping people all over the world to understand the opportunities and risks of AI is a monumental and critical task that we need massive levels of coordination and collaboration for.

My heartfelt gratitude to the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and especially FLO, FICCI´s Women´s Wing, representing + 12.000 female entrepreneurs and professionals, and Chairman Dr. Payal Kanodia, for their extraordinary work and their generous invitation to deliver a Masterclass for their members in Delhi.

🔹️ Thoughts after a few days in China between futuristic cities, nature, technology, meetings with authorities and friends:

🔺️Ai and robotics are indeed going to transform economies and societies in ways we cannot envision

🔺️International relations and global cooperation are key, everyone wants to defend their interest, but preventing trade, investment and exchanges between countries is going to be very harmful in the long run

🔺️I would not bet against a country as resilient as China, with tens of millions of determined entrepreneurs, a tech adoption, innovation capability and an ability to get things done as strong as theirs

🔺️In an AI world, the fastest, most proactive, most digitized, most business oriented will inevitably have tremendous advantages over the others

🔺️Tensions lead to conflicts that cause unimaginable suffering, pursuing unnecessary tensions is playing with fire. the world order is changing and some trends and shifts are bigger, deeper and more pervasive than most people realize.

We are far from having experienced the consequences of the political, economical and societal changes and events of the last few years, and AI is clearly going to add an immense amount of pressure to the system, probably breaking things that we thought would last for ever

There are extraordinary success stories all over the world, not only in the West or in Asia, on how to manage crises and how to build the cities of the future, better companies, better education and better social systems, but our ignorance and arrogance make us, especially in the West I would argue, unable to learn from others, and destined to suffer an inevitable decline of our empires

Freedom is absolutely paramount, in every country, for everyone, but I see less and less freedoms everywhere I look

Not being aware of the level of control, manipulation, censorship, concentration of ppwer, inequality, lack of privacy and actual freedom in your own country does not make you more free. You are losing freedom by the day

Each country and organization has massive challenges ahead. Economic crises, jobs, protests, independentist forces, potential coups, wars, attacks, aging, competition, and, of course, internal political battles, corruption and crime.

I think it is time for a reality check. A deep assessment of the state of things and the trajectories humanity is pointing towards

Time to recognize the painful truth

You are in way more trouble than you can conceive, many of the problems you have been trying to ignore will come back at you, many of the things you take for granted will be taken away from you, and even if the future can be bright, it won't be equally bright for everyone, and we have an extremely difficult decade ahead

Itt won't be positive for most if we continue to pass our issues to next administrations, next quarters, and next generations

Our citizens, stakeholders, communities and families need us to see the bigger picture

A couple of points:

🔸Embodied AI, AI Agents, Agent orchestration and Augmented organizations with agent swarms that bridge the real and physical world will easily - 100x the output / cut in half the cost - of almost any organization, department of function

🔸I have already seen several cases of hundreds of millions of dollars in savings / revenue growth just by effectively integrating information and deploying with Gen AI models through sales, operations, customer service, marketig and finance. And that is a fraction of what is possible if we add Digital Twins and Simulations to the equation. We are likely to discover a huge number of inefficiencies in our systems, companies and, yes, governments. It is not clear how leaders of public and private organizations will react to this, but it is not possible to unsee what you see when you see it. And people are going to see more clearly than ever. For good and bad.

🔸I am looking forward to sharing part of our work at Improve X AI, where we provide short company-wide AI leverage and risk mitigation interventions through a mix of personalized upskilling and practical advisory.

🔸If time allows, I will share part of our Layoff minimization framework, to minimize the negative effects of AI Adoption in employment, our Tech Leverage and Anticipatory Regulation Model for AI and disruptive technologies, to reduce the gap between the available technology and the one that we use to create growth while effectively foreseeing some of the short and mid term risks that are likely to emerge in the near future following existing research and current trajectories.

🔻 AI Limitations and Risks

🔹This year I had the distinct honor to address National Security leaders in Riyadh to discuss how AI can be used by bad actors to harm Governments, Society and Critical Infrastructure, as well as how it can be used by the Police, Military, Foreign and Interior Services to prevent attacks and mitigate risks.

🔻 AI Limitations and Risks:

🔹AI and any other technology can and will often fail, it still has and will continue to have limitations, yet its power and potential could be the greatest any invention has ever brought
🔹Despite efforts and investments AI Alignment is not possible. We must assume the following AI Risks will remain constant and ever more critical:

🔹AI limitations in its outcomes, errors Algorithmic biases and hallucinations
🔹AI technical system errors or control failures
🔹Intentional Bad actors using AI or AGI against others
🔹Hijacking or hacking AI systems, including model poisoning, model injection, jailbreaking and other
🔹Billions of AI Agents or AGI Agents operating autonomously to attack systems, creating new attacks or attacking with multiple different approaches
🔹Leaks or re-training on confidential information submission to AI tools or leaks
🔹AI over dependence
🔹Potential escalation of Autonomous Weapon Systems or AI - Automation driven weapons in seconds akin to trading bot market collapses as algorithmic responses to false triggers
🔹Super AGIs overpowering humans in areas of the digital and physical world
🔹AGI acting against society or specific groups independently being able to leverage millions of times more Information and intelligence processing needs

Will continue to share some of my research findings around the topic, and how it specifically affects large international organizations, government institutions, enterprises and professionals.

🔹AI for career growth and entrepreneurship, and the disruption ahead

I spoke yesterday to 50 students at the Universidad Francisco de Vitoria and made the case for the vital improtance of individual professionals to start considering themselves as companies and the fundamental role they have to generate jobs by proactively leveraging Ai to provide products, services and create value as personal brands, startups or businesses, instead of waiting to be hired as a sole career strategy.

AI is going to create almost infinite market opportunities for those who position themselves, and the companies that occupy market demands and problems where value will still be exchanged.

But before and while that happens, a big part of the current roles and positions will very likely be disrupted. Some say 60% of jobs are at stake.

At the rate of innovation of AI, and the speed at which AI tools and Ai agents, as well as robots, are becoming more capable than humans at increasingly more functions, seems inconceivable to me that companies will keep all their workforce in the coming months and years.

It doesn’t mean that there is nothing left to do for humans or for any particular human

But I believe it means that:

A big percent of people at large companies may lose their job if they don’t prove to be extremely valuable in the new paradigm

Many new grads will have a hard time finding jobs

Many people will lose their jobs and sugger to reset their mindset and skills fast enough to grab the new opportunities, obvious for some, invisible for most. I see AI with excitement for the things that Humanity, and what my daughter, my teams, myself and our network will be able to do.

But it is going to be a bumpy road, and without entrepreneurship and massive urgent upskilling interventions, it can be catastrophic, since protests can lead to violence and we already have a converging multi crisis and a level of geopolitical tensions we haven’t seen in decades.

Back from the spectacular Canary Islands to talk about AI risks and opportunities for the Tourism Sector

Thank you to the X Tourism Congress in Maspalomas, and congratulations for such a successful event with over 1500 registrations

It’s been a privilege to meet old and new friends from World Travel & Tourism Council, European Commission, CaixaBank, Turismo de Islas Canarias. Les Roches and more

Had the opportunity to do several media interviews and my message was always more focused on the risk than the opportunity this time.

As I see the evolution of AI companies and government involvement

I am more concerned than ever about not only job loss but also the increasing possibility of hundreds of thousands of SMEs going out of business since their full value proposition is rapidly becoming part of what AI tools can do faster better and cheaper than even the best professionals and vendors.

Even if the Tourism sector holds Better than others, I think disruption is inevitable, from travel and event agencies to many of the HQ jobs at - or vendors providing services to - Airlines or Hotel Groups

My advice is to learn as much as possible and work on innovation and business expansion instead of workforce reduction.
