🇪🇸 Do you know a lot of Spanish words, but when you speak, you draw a blank?”
In almost every message we send, verbs play the most important role.
If the verb fails, the message breaks down. And, since verbs appear in every message, working on your verbs is smart and makes the most of your time.
Best of all, being able to use verbs fluently frees up your attention, since you don't have to be constantly thinking about them. This allows you to concentrate on other things: what you want to say, the structure of your message, sounding more natural…
If you want to speak better Spanish, start by mastering your verbs.

Why do you struggle to use Spanish verbs?
It's not a lack of study. You probably don't lack grammar, nor have studied it too much.
👉 The problem lies elsewhere.
In Spanish, the verb says almost everything:
1 It encodes information related to the context.
2 Forces you to conceptualize reality.
3 Requires constant choices depending on the situation.
That's why any solid approach has to start by understanding what you're doing when you choose a verb.

🇪🇸 Are you struggling to speak Spanish fluently because you have trouble with SER and ESTAR? Or is it because of past tenses? Or the subjunctive mood?

Did you know that a good understanding of Spanish verb conjugation helps solve these problems?

I often meet students who have trouble using SER and ESTAR. And a big part of the problem is that they aren't clear on which forms are SER and which are ESTAR in different tenses.

The conjugation of these verbs is irregular, and if we have to think about it when we're going to use them, we probably won't be able to decide correctly which one we want to use.

The same thing happens with past tenses. Often, the mistakes don't come from not knowing which tense to choose (perfect or imperfect), but from not knowing the conjugation for each tense.

It's worth memorizing verb conjugation very well until it becomes automatic.

This frees up a lot of mental energy to focus on other important aspects of Spanish and allows you to speak with more CONFIDENCE and FLUENCY.

Do you want to speak Spanish fluently and effortlessly? It's a good goal. But it's not a strategy.
Many people think that to speak fluently they have to relax and stop translating in their head. But that's what happens in the end, not what you do at the beginning.
The problem is this: When you speak, you hesitate. And that hesitation breaks your fluency. Because you're not clear on which verb form to use in each situation. And that's not fixed simply by speaking more.
It's fixed when you work with explanations that teach you why you use one form and not another. Because when you see the patterns that verbs follow, you recognize the situation and know which form to use without having to think about it so much.
If you don't see those patterns, you can spend years hesitating every time you speak or never feeling completely confident.
Confidence doesn't come from practicing more. It comes when you understand how verbs work. And that's precisely what many people still haven't grasped clearly.

🇪🇸 Many teachers try to oversimplify the use of past tenses in Spanish, ending up saying things that don't make sense.
It's not their fault: all native speakers can perfectly use past tenses, but most don't really know why they choose one or the other tense in many situations.
As a result, many students spend years trying to improve their use of Spanish tenses, with little success.
Understanding the patterns these tenses follow isn't easy, but when someone explains it well, the path becomes much shorter and more direct.
You start to improve, and with the right practice, you stop hesitating and speak with more confidence.
Have you also been trying to understand the use of past tenses for a while? Tell me about it in the comments.

Are you trying to learn Spanish 🇪🇸 like a child👶?
Children have the ability to learn to speak by listening. They're like sponges.
Adults are different, but we have a superpower that children don't: we can UNDERSTAND how a language works.
We can understand the patterns that verbs like SER and ESTAR follow.
Have you noticed the patterns in the reel examples❓️
If you haven't, ask me❗️
Learning these details makes all the difference when speaking Spanish.
If you learn and internalize the patterns, you'll start choosing verbs more effectively when you speak.
And this leads to greater fluency.🎊
