Last week, the foundation had the honor of attending the congress 🇧🇦

Organized as part of the Green Inno project, this congress aims to promote innovation in materials science. The foundation could not miss the opportunity to accept the invitation from the University of , and our team presented several projects from that we are working on:

✅ We participated in one of the project workshops to teach young people the importance of minerals in daily life.

✅ We presented a poster on , a project that aims to solve the end-of-life issue of photovoltaic panels.

✅ We showcased a second poster on , which develops software for reporting criteria.

🤔 ¿Qué importancia tiene la minería en nuestra vida diaria? 💼 Con la ayuda del 'Maletín Didáctico de los Minerales de la Faja Pirítica' es posible responder de una forma muy original.

⛰ Desde muestras de materias primas minerales hasta productos fabricados con ellas componen el interior de este recurso que facilita el aprendizaje y ayuda a reconocer de un vistazo cómo la actividad minera es esencial para nuestra vida cotidiana.

📸 En la entrega del maletín a Aminer participaron Margarita Paneque, Delegada Institucional del CSIC en Andalucía y Directora del Museo Casa de la Ciencia de Sevilla; Damián Fermín de Andrés Cara, investigador científico del CSIC, y Diana Fernández del Campo, responsable en la sede de Sevilla del EIT RawMaterials RIS Hub – Regional Center Southern Spain. ¡Muchas gracias!

👉🏻 Santiago Rosado Calderón presented the initial results of the project. The boom in photovoltaic solar energy between 2006 and 2008 has led to an exponential growth in solar panel waste. aims to propose treatment and recycling technologies to recover glass, Al, Cu, Ag, and Si.

Además Lidia Gullón Corral, Santiago Rosado y Pier Luigi Franceschini (director del CLC Sur del EIT RawMaterials) han visitado la cantera de granito de la localidad.

This is the first webinar in a Serie of webinars organized by the Education Committee every six months to enhance an exchange of experience and initiatives around the globe on issues influencing mining engineering education.

What a great experience 🎉🍾

Yesterday we were at school in 🇧🇦 with our The Briefcase 🧳

Before the 👩🏻‍🔬👨🏻‍🔬 we could already see the children 👧🏻👦🏻 excited about the special visit of some Spaniards 🇪🇸☺️ For the students, Spain is something exotic and known mainly for football ⚽️ That's why ‼️ the opportunities offered by the are so important, it allows people from very different places to get in touch 🤗🙏, see how others address their challenges and thus improve the workshops more and more

During the organized by the University of everything was a wonderful little chaos 😍, speaking 2-3 languages ​​at the same time, the children touching all the minerals 👉🏻 and “fighting” 😂 for answering all our questions well.

For them it was a new experience in which they have been able to learn 👩‍🏫 about minerals 💎 and for all of us it was exhausting 🥵 but very very fun 🤣

In this area of ​​Bosnia 🇧🇦 it is especially important that children are aware of mining, its advantages, needs and that they know tharsis . In this region, a polymetallic deposit is being investigated 🔎 so it is important to know how this will improve their lives and the opportunities it offers for business.

Hoy hemos estado con The Briefcase en el Open Day de Bruselas. Fantástico trabajo el de Inštitut SeMe, okoljsko ozaveščanje in trajnostni razvoj - i-SeMe, mostrando a los visitantes la importancia de la minería en nuestra vida diaria.

📢📢📢 [RISBRIEFCASE project has opened its call for Task Partners] ❕

⛏️ The RISBRIEFCASE project intends to improve the public perception of mining activities and raise awareness, bringing minerals and mining closer to society.

💎🧒🏻The project has developed innovative tools dedicated to pupils from 6 to 14 years old to show the significance of the daily use of raw materials and their exploitation focusing on sensible aspects of mining activities such as the "Not In My Backyard" concept, the consequences of our purchase decisions, the conflict minerals, the sustainability of mining operations, the value chain transparency, the social license to operate, the climate change or the importance of the recycling practices. We inspire and encourage pupils to follow raw materials careers.

‼️🆕 The RISBRIEFCASE consortium encourages RIS entities to submit their proposals to support the project by:
✅ creating new briefcases,
✅ hosting workshops and
✅ commercializing our tools to extend the BRIEFCASE network and multiply the impact of the project in the RIS areas.
