In October, students from across the global SEK/IES community will journey to South Africa for InterSEK 2026 - a celebration of culture, connection, friendship and competition on a truly international stage.

From Costa Rica in 2025 to Cape Town in 2026, the spirit of global unity continues, and we can’t wait to experience the warmth, energy and hospitality of South Africa, together. 🇿🇦

Last Friday, our school community came together to celebrate one of the most special days of the year: WIS DAY! ✨

Families, teachers and students enjoyed a wonderful day filled with fun, laughter and unforgettable moments together. From exciting activities to shared smiles and meaningful connections, it was a true celebration of the spirit that makes Willoughby International School so special.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day such a success. Moments like these remind us how lucky we are to be part of such a warm and vibrant community. 💙

Familias, profesores y alumnos nos reunimos para disfrutar de una jornada llena de alegría, diversión y momentos inolvidables. Entre actividades, juegos, música y muchas sonrisas, vivimos un día que reflejó el verdadero espíritu de nuestra comunidad.

As part of the SEK International Institution, they will take part in INTERSEK Sports 2026, a global event that brings together students from SEK/IES schools around the world. Sport, friendship, and cultural exchange come together in one unforgettable experience.

A journey they will carry with them for life.✨

This week marks a defining moment in the history of Willoughby International School.

We are beginning an exciting new chapter as we join the IES-SEK group — a step that moves us towards the future with greater strength, new opportunities, and the same essence that has always defined us: a close-knit, international, and deeply human education.

This Tuesday, we had the pleasure of officially presenting this new journey to our families in a special event featuring Mónica Segovia, President of the group; D. José Ignacio Fito, Vice President of Institución Internacional SEK and current Headmaster of Willoughby; and D. Luis Martínez Zorzo, Research and Development Director.

We look ahead with enthusiasm, convinced that this new path will allow us to continue offering our students an even more enriching, global, and future-ready education.
