Our Nursery students are making the most of the warm weather by taking their learning outdoors. They're doing an excellent job of spelling and writing their own names in class, so it was wonderful to see them benefiting from our natural woodland and creating their names with outdoor materials.

ISP Schools, 10 years of international education in Spain!

We are very proud of our Student Council who have worked hard all year, meeting regularly to help contribute to the positive changes in our school.

We think this is a great way to give a voice to our students, whilst also developing their leadership and teamwork skills.

As well as our English summer school, this year we’ll be offering a theatre camp.

Throughout week 2, students will learn acting, singing and dancing with native English professional actors from . They will have lots of fun creating their own versions of classic works, turning them into fun comedies filled with musical numbers.

Last Friday, we said goodbye to our Year 13 students of the academic year 2023-2024 at their graduation. They have worked exceptionally hard throughout this year and everybody at would like to congratulate them on their efforts and to wish them continued success in the future.

Their graduation was a wonderful event and celebration, and an appropriate way to say goodbye to this excellent year group. We feel privileged to work with such wonderful young people and are very proud of the progress they make during their time with us. We wish them every joy, happiness and success as they prepare for the next stage in their journey of learning.

Our students from Nursery - Year 6 had a great time watching the Más Que Payasos circus show on Friday. It was great to see them enjoying their spectacular show featuring singing, dancing, magic, aerial acrobatics, a live band, and, of course, clowns!

Last week, our Year 3, 4, 5, and 6 children had an amazing learning experience at the Layos Camp in Toledo. They enjoyed a variety of activities, including baking bread, a ropes course, caring for horses, archery, trampolining, canoeing, go-karting, bracelet making, and much more!

Our Primary students had a fantastic time during their sports day.

They had been diligently practicing their athletic skills during PE lessons and were very excited to represent their Houses and give their personal best. It was a very successful day offsite and the atmosphere was excellent!

We hosted an informal meeting where parents of our school had the opportunity to meet some of our current Year 12 IB students, as well as some of our former students who are in their university phase.

This was an excellent opportunity for parents to get an insight into how our students face the IB Diploma Programme and the advantage it gives them when they access university.

Another excellent sports day for our Secondary students in Tres Cantos.

It was a great day with excellent performances and support shown; celebrating not just sporting excellence, but also teamwork, enjoyment and healthy competition.

This year, alongside our annual summer school, we’ll be offering a design and architecture camp throughout weeks 1 and 2 with Tiny Architects.

Architect, Paula Ábalos, will manage the camp in Spanish, where children can enjoy a variety of fun architecture-based workshops each week. The weeks will be different themes of design, construction and creativity.

Our primary students in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 have had a great time learning how to play a variety of string instruments, including the violin and cello.

They have learnt how to read and interpret music, as well as develop their coordination, listening and fine motor skills.

Today, our Year 12 CAS students hosted a work day dress-up day where students were invited to come to school in clothes that represent their future career.

Students loved dressing up and talking about what they’d like to be when they grow up; it was a very successful student-led event that also helped to raise money for charity.

Our students in Years 1 to 6 had a great time completing their Geography fieldwork on Earth Day, with visitors from Mi Jardín ibérico.

It was an excellent opportunity for them to work outdoors on their investigative skills and to have hands-on experience developing their geographic orientation skills. They learnt about different types of maps, compass points, plants, the location of different countries, and much more!

It's officially exam season for our Year 11 and Year 13 students as they begin study leave for their international examinations. We would like to wish them every success in the coming weeks and months; a difficult time for all of them, but with life changing rewards.

Last week our Year 8 and Year 9 students went on a school trip to Burgos with 99planes.es, which went exceptionally well. Our pupils behaved at all times and were a credit to the school. It was a great learning opportunity and all students had a fantastic time.

Victoria from 8G said: "My experience in Burgos was incredible. We had a tour guide who had a lot of knowledge about the city and was very kind. She took us to see some of the monuments and an important street that takes you through El Camino de Santiago. The city is beautiful and very educational."

On Tuesday, we celebrated Spanish book day in memory of the Spanish writer, Miguel de Cervantes. Our Spanish department had been very busy preparing activities for the “día del libro” and our students had an excellent time in their Spanish lessons. A special well done to Valentina and Martín, our winners of the Year 4 book day poetry competition.

On this day, our Year 12 students had the opportunity to read some Spanish stories to our Primary and Infant students, and they hosted a handmade bookmark sale in which all proceeds will go to charity.

This year, alongside our annual summer school, we’ll be offering an aquatic camp throughout weeks 3 and 4, with Menudos Delfines.

These weeks will be spent focusing on aquatic activities, for those children who know the environment and want to explore water sports such as swimming, water polo and synchronised swimming exercises, always through games.

Today we’re celebrating the name of our school, St George‘s Day.

Today is Earth Day, an annual event reminding us all to protect our planet.

We’ve been celebrating by handing out these wonderful bookmarks that can be planted to grow a beautiful flower. This week, our Primary students will also be taking part in an art competition to create a recycling mascot, and a speech competition to persuade people to take action and reduce their use of plastic.

Our Story

St. George School in Madrid belongs to the IBE (International British Education) Group, with two facilities in Spain, located in Madrid and Barcelona.

Our pupils, aged from 2 to 18 years old, are guided by UK-trained native teachers and follow the English National Curriculum, taking the official iGCSE and IB Diploma exams to finalise their studies and access both Spanish and international univerisites.

The welcoming, personalised and supportive environment at St. George School enables our pupils to develop their knowledge and curiosity for learning while surrounded by classmates from over 40 different nationalities.
