National Higher Education Day falls on June 6 and was founded in 2015 thanks to the efforts of Izamar Olaguez (first runner-up for Miss California) and Marcie Hronis.

The day's purpose is to encourage students to pursue higher education, along with raising awareness about the need for more affordable tuition and fees at colleges and universities around the world.

May is mental health awareness month and if you're currently you may be under more strain than usual. You'll be far from friends and family and there could be times when you need support. Thankfully there are many mental health experts in Spain and many of them offer help in English too.
