Two weeks. Countless insights. A lifetime of impact. 💡
Our MSc in Hospitality & Tourism Management students recently completed the prestigious Professional Development Program (PDP) at Cornell University's Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration, gaining first-hand exposure to the ideas, people and practices shaping the future of hospitality.
Designed to bridge academic excellence with industry practice, the two-week programme immersed students in some of today’s most relevant topics in hospitality management. From Strategic Innovation Management and Human
Resources Management to Hotel Revenue Management and Strategic Marketing, participants gained practical insights into the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of hospitality through world-class teaching, collaborative projects and interactive discussions 📚
Learning extended well beyond the classroom. Through experiential visits across the Finger Lakes region, students discovered innovative hospitality concepts in action, while networking events connected them with hospitality professionals and fellow participants from around the world.
One highlight of the programme was the Speed Networking Session: students rotated through a series of short conversations with General Managers from leading hotels across the USA, the Philippines, Thailand, the UK, Germany and other countries, who were participating in a parallel executive programme on campus. Students gained valuable career advice, expanded their international network and practised the art of making meaningful connections in just a few minutes.
The experience concluded with the awarding of the internationally recognised Cornell PDP Certificate, celebrating two weeks of learning, collaboration and professional growth.
A heartfelt thank you to Prof. Ramon Fisac Garcia, Academic Director of the programme, for accompanying our students throughout this unforgettable experience, and to Maria Patricia Büchi Martinez for her invaluable support and coordination from Madrid.
Our sincere thanks also go to the outstanding Cornell team, Helen HaeEun Chun, Monika Lynn Crosby and Catherine Perkins for making this programme such a success. A special mention to Chris Kitchen for beautifully capturing these memorable moments.
Congratulations to all our students on this achievement. We look forward to following your journeys as you continue to shape the future of the global hospitality industry.

Thinking Out of the (Green) Box 🌱
Last week, MBA students completing their Specialisation Tracks in Madrid stepped outside the traditional classroom to explore leadership, management and sustainability through a different lens: permaculture.
Organised by the Student Experience and Green Office teams at ESCP Madrid, the workshop invited participants to reflect on organisations as living ecosystems—where resilience, diversity, creativity and collaboration are essential for sustainable growth.
Led by ESCP alumnus Julien Marcel, the session challenged students to rethink managerial action through systemic thinking and a hands-on approach, drawing inspiration from nature to better understand how teams, organisations and communities thrive.
One idea resonated throughout the workshop: sometimes, the most effective leaders act more like gardeners than controllers—creating the conditions for people, ideas and organisations to grow.
A big thank you to Julien for sharing his expertise and to everyone who took part in this inspiring experience.
