Our Year 9 pupils turned the lab into a fantastic science fair, proudly showcasing their investigations with vibrant posters and clever experiments. From hypothesis to conclusion, they exchanged ideas, learnt from one another, and had a brilliant time exploring each other’s work!

As part of their topic on Spring and plants, the children in Reception A took part in a sustainability workshop with LG electronics. They learnt about how the company offset their omissions by planting trees. They then had the opportunity to create "nendo-dango" (a Japanese technique in which they used clay and soil to make seed balls). These were then planted in the countryside near their offices. It was a very interesting, hands on experience which helped our youngest pupils begin to understand the importance of caring for the planet.

The children absolutely loved it. They got to explore ways to de-stress and be happy. They enjoyed virtual reality simulations, a slide that goes into a ball pool. They got to chill out in the sensory room and take photos in a photo booth, they even enjoyed a silent disco!! The guides enjoyed bringing our classes around and said they were a joy to have in the museum. They embraced having fun and being silly 😇

Last Friday 14th March, across both Primary and Secondary the children took part in activities to celebrate the International Day of Mathematics (Pi Day). The theme this year was 'Mathematics, Art and Creativity', allowing children to explore the creativity found in mathematical discovery and art. Children were able to experience maths in a new light, noticing the beauty all around them, both in nature and in man-made architecture. There were many exciting activities across the school including work with tessellations and building 3D constructions. We hope you enjoy these photos of what was a day filled with the buzz of creativity and the joy of learning.
