Write your way into English! Continuous & itinerant Creative Writing courses in Madrid
Narra tu viaj Eureka! Something that you will do… later.

Improving English as a Second Language through writing is not a new idea(*), but it is the first time it hits Madrid! Come and join one of the continuous Creative Writing courses that have started very recently in Quevedo, or get in touch if you want me to teach the course elsewhere. Focusing on a tale is a fantastic way to distract your mind from the dreadful idea of not being good enough at your second language. Any story, whether it is a personal one or a fictional story: the idea is to place expression above anything else. That way, learning a second language stops being a luxury(**) to become a real necessity. Boost your communication skills while discussing where to place that comma, and forget about ever trying to learn your Phrasal Verbs by heart! (*) I thought I’ve invented it though, until I started my research! (**) A pretentious badge of stuff you do, or even a patronising requirement from your boss.

Fork7 has found this great Shakespearean Insult Kit over on IMGuR – We would call him a “craven common-kissing canker-blossom” but that would be rude. Combine one word from each of the three columns below, prefaced with “Thou”: Source: http://imgur.com/gallery/ng15UsQ

Reading is a fantastic way to improve a second language. Try not to choose too complicated books, or very old poets at first though, or you might end up feeling a bit frustrated...

Writing in a second language can sound a bit funny at first, but slowly, thanks to us having that tendency to steal the language and make it ours... Rhymes come out naturally –or not, but in any case... they come out.

“The trouble began when I decided to be dangerously ambitious. Which is to say, I decided to write a poem.”
