🇲🇽 Mexico wins Eurovision… at ICS! 🎤🌍

Last week, our Grade 6 students took to the stage for their annual Eurovision celebration as part of a transdisciplinary unit of inquiry.

The festival got off to a fantastic start as our teachers bravely took to the stage to open the event with a special musical performance of their own, setting the tone for an unforgettable celebration.

This was much more than a music performance. Students sang and played instruments live, adapting the lyrics of their chosen songs to reflect the history, culture and identity of the country they were representing.

And this year’s winner? Mexico! 🇲🇽 Perhaps an unexpected champion in a Eurovision contest, but at ICS, every country has a place on the stage. Colombia 🇨🇴 secured an impressive second place.

More than a bazaar: a celebration of who we are! 🌍 Last Saturday, our school community came together for one of our most cherished traditions: the ICS International Bazaar.

With more than 20 countries represented across the different stands, families shared delicious food, traditions and glimpses of their cultures from around the world. The day was also filled with wonderful performances representing different nationalities and an exciting talent show that brought even more energy to the celebration. Children enjoyed rides, games and plenty of activities throughout the day, making it a truly special occasion for the whole community.

At ICS, multiculturalism is not simply something we celebrate on special occasions. It is part of who we are. With more than 70 nationalities represented within our school community, our students grow up learning from one another, developing a global perspective and feeling at home in a truly international environment. 💙

Big steps, new adventures! 🚀 Last week, our Grade 5 students took part in Transition Day as they prepared for their exciting move from Primary School to Secondary School.

They had the opportunity to explore the learning areas, classrooms and shared spaces that will soon become part of their everyday life. Through a treasure hunt filled with challenges and activities, students discovered their new surroundings, took part in science experiments, enjoyed an art lesson and, of course, asked lots and lots of questions! A wonderful first glimpse of the exciting journey ahead.

At ICS Summer Camp, children enjoy a variety of activities designed to help them learn, grow and have fun in an international English-speaking environment. From sports and STEAM challenges to circus skills, water games, crafts and team activities, every day is packed with new adventures.

Proud smiles, happy tears, unforgettable hugs and celebrations filled the ICS gym in a graduation that was hard to forget. Graduation Day was a reminder of just how far our students have come and how much they have achieved.

To the Class of 2026: congratulations! We couldn’t be prouder of the people you have become, both inside and outside the classroom. As you take your next steps, carry your curiosity, your courage and your ambition with you. Dream boldly, embrace every opportunity, and never be afraid to aim high. Your journey at ICS may have come to an end, but a new adventure is only just beginning.
